OK - Been out on the boat a lot and pushing the wetsounds pretty hard... The Rockford amps are just not cutting it... I need to replace the amp that's driving the tower speakers at the very least... The sub amp (mono) is fine but the tower speakers can take a lot more than what I'm throwing at them... I don't want to spend a ton of money but I'm willing to do what's necessary to get them sounding good... Thanks in advance...

Talk with SPBFan and he can get you some Arc Audio.... Awesome amps and run very cool. I haven't had a problem with them over heating yet.

Yeah I was thinking about that... I should have elaborated a little more... I have 1 set of Pro 80's and 1 set of Pro 60's on the tower... They are running off of 1 pair of wires running from an RF P400-4 (I think, I'll have to double check)...

I've had great luck with my JL Audio amps. I have 4 Pro 80's and I have 2 JL M4500's pushing them(1 pair each) and I have extra channels if I ever want to add anything else. They aren't to expensive, but you do get what you pay for. Of course you already know this if you have wetsounds. GL:ro:

I am running a Kicker ZX 850.4 to my threesome. It does a great job powering the Wetsounds up top. I have been very happy with the kicker equipment I have.

X2 on the alpine's
I have 1 pdx 4.100 running 2 Bullet 660's (200x2) and are super clear at 80ft and you can still hear them at over 200ft.

These amps are sweet! they produce very little heat and are stackable. They are not cheap though.

The Arc Audio have the same characteristics. Contact SPBFan. I think he is a Arc Audio dealer now. :D I am sure he will give you a great deal.

The Kicker ZX850.4 will deliver 175 watts to all four speakers. Just a tiny bit over on the 150's, and a little under on the 80's, but a good solid amp that will run that setup of four 4-ohm loads all day real reliably.

I am in the same boat, looking for amp! But I am trying to work within a budget! Anyone using soundstream amps? Or have any experience with the soundstream tarantula series...???

Soundstream also has some nice amps. If you can get one for a good price, that would work very well. :02:

You will not be disappointed with the Arc Audio. We have the Arc Audio boat coming to the reunion that has 12+ subs, 24+ 6.5, 10+ 8 inch speakers with a ton of amps. :D Well, that is what I have been told but we are still trying to talk with the owner and it does look good.
The boat is displayed on the gallery of arcaudio.com

The deal is I only want to have 2 amps for the whole boat - 1 for the tower and one for a 12" sub and the boat speakers. My boat only has one battery and I am trying not to have to add a second one! So the budget needs to fit around $600 for both. I have a guy in town that sells soundstream and swears by them....he sells them.... But he is willing to give me a deal, but I want to make sure that I am not wasting money and have to spend more later anyways, I have never used soundstream tarantula amps, or know anyone else that has, so i am torn on which way to go!

signguy,
hate to tell you this, but you're going to have to add another battery. rule of thumb, for every two amps you need to add another battery. of course if you don't play your system loud in the cove you might not have to. you will only get about 15-30 minutes out of a one battery system with what your adding. I have 4 amps and 2 batteries for my system. I get about 1 1/2 hours of loud playtime before it starts getting distorted and I have to crank it up.:D

I am starting to come that conclusion myself. I will need to add one just for the piece of mind. I will search the sight for setups on adding a second battery. Thanks....I am still searching for the right amps at the right prices.

chpthrill has posted numerous posts on a second battery setup. Instead of usind a solid state Isolator, lool at Blue Sea Systems Isolators if you decide to use one.
i just used cadance amp installed with some pro 60s. i got the amp from wetsounds and im glad i did. it sounds great!! better than the same set up with a kicker amp. we had both a kicker and the cadance boat in the showroom and everyone said the cadance set up sounded better. so until the wetsounds come out we install cadance amps they :ro: :ro: :ro: my :02:

I just ordered the Sounstream Tarantula series amps.
http://www.soundstream.com/amplifiers-tarantula.htm I ordered the TRX2.820 2- Channel 250x2 for the tower Pro 80's and the TRX5.670 - 70x4 and 150 x1 for the 6 boat speakers and a 12" sub. I will let you know how it comes together. I am also going to add a second battery. Anyone know the best thread for a second battery setup in a 22V? Thanks!
