Jim is a good guy. It's good doing business with him. Product seems to be holding up after a season or two. Use them trailering over the mountains - no bug splatter to clean up. I got the mirror cover as well free.... but really haven't had a chance or need to use it. Anyone using the mirror cover?

I use mine... It's holding up nicely...
The only thing I've noticed about my Speaker Sox is this... And Jim, maybe you can chime in here... I put some on late last year and then added a second pair of speakers and put a second set on a few months later... They are starting to fade a little... My boat is in outside storage and in the AZ sun... Anyone have any suggestions?

Did you get the protectant on them? Probably as he included that for me...

I have not towed wtih the mirror cover on. I swing the mirror 90 deg. face down, so only the edge is exposed. It looked like with towing, the cover would "balloon" in the wind, since the opening/tiedown faces the front and might . . unless you turn the mirror 180 deg backwards I suppose. Any issues?

I don't know...? He knows I'm in AZ so maybe he did?
Well one problem solved on this... Just went and talked to the storage guys... They hooked me up with a storage garage 12Wx12Hx30D... No more AZ sun on the boat... And I won't have to clean when I pick it up and when I put it away... I'm super stoked! They're also an ATV dealer so as soon as they clean out the one they're storing their quad inventory in, it's all mine...

Those speaker sox look nice!! I'm guessing the speakers are a pair of 60s and a pair of 80s.......we just got a pair of 60s a few weeks ago........we have no trouble hearing them while wakeboarding, but my husband thinks it needs to be louder.........how do you like the 60s/80s combo??? We're thinking about adding a pair of 80s with our tax rebate:ro:

Mine are acrually the MB8's not the 80's (it called the double up -60 and mb8s) I would highly recommand them over the 80s as the 60s pound hard (as you know) and the MB8s give you more bass up on the tower as well.
Either way you cant go wrong :)

How do those two sound together? That is the combo I purchased for my boat they are on there way. What amps are you using to run them?

As far as the MB8s and 80s, I believe they put out the same bass. They both have the same 8" Wet Sounds™ EFG™ driver, but the 80s also have a concentrically mounted
Wet Sounds™ HLCD (Horn Loaded Compression Driver).
I have the 80s and 60s and they sound great. They really do a great job of throwing the sound out to the rider and not overwhelming the people inside the boat.

Running the 850.4 for the two pairs.

I disagree somewhat as yes they use the same EFG driver but the 80s have the HLCD as well (so does the 60s) but having that HLCD driver gives you the highs/loudness the mb8s have just the EFG and that is all, so you get true mid-bass from them and it is not covered up by the highs/loudness of the HLCDs.
So in turn you get/hear/feel the bass more from the MB8s then from the straight 60s/80s.

I just wanted to let everyone know that as soon as I relocate to Utah, the girls on my site will become my wives. Actually, a couple of them work for me. Lots of drama, little work being done. Jim

You don't need to move to Utah.. Look at those LDS that lived in Texas.. If they can do it in Texas, I am sure you can find a way to do it in CA. :D

We just watched them for many years and never did anything about it. They move to Texas and within a few years the state of Texas has made 400+ children orphans of the state, primarily over an anonymous phone call that has yet to be substantiated. Texas put an end to it in a hurry.
I still have not yet got any decent pics of my speakersox for my Tyrants...they are definitely the bomb! Will post pics when I get some good ones. They still will not compare with the website, but...

:ot:
I gotta call :bs: on that comment. A friend of ours is in CPS here in Texas and the situation is much worse than they're reporting. I assure you the state of Texas didn't just pull a John Wayne. The abuse is very real and far worse than you can imagine. There's no doubt that the situation is overwhelming, but what's been done to these kids is just wrong and it's been going on for more than one generation. Too bad the media's only focusing on the sensational (which is pretty typical).
Trust me, if you knew the truth you'd wanna go home right now and hug your wife and kids.
