So we went out to Saguaro Lake yesterday... Had family in from WI and the kids wanted to get out on the water pretty bad...
Was about 80 degrees Air and 63 water temp... No boarding but we did do a little tubing... Water was pretty cold when I got dumped on the tube with no wet suit on... My heart was pounding pretty good when I got out of the water...
Another pretty cool thing we saw was a bald eagle attack a heron... They were sqwaking at each other and the heron got away but it was pretty neat to see... I'm kind of glad the kids didn't get to see the bird get its kill... I don't know how they would have taken that...

One more thing... I forgot to take pix of the before but I had the tower uprights re-anodized... These uprights were in bad shape from the old boat (most of you know the story). So I took them to a local metal guy and he cleaned them up for me... I didn't want the powder coated set to get all dinged and chipped up so I swapped them out... I need to take some better pix but they turned out nice... The anodized red isn't perfect but it looks good IMO...
A couple of things I learned on this trip... The new truck pulls the boat like it's not even there... It's kind of scary how easy it pulls it... Also the Pro 80's are a beautiful compliment to the Pro 60's... :D I'm glad I added the second pair...

LBX, how much did that anodizing cost you???? I am having the powder coat taken off the new boat but do like the idea of colored uprights like you do.

One more thing... Saw a 'bu pulling a MC... I tried to get a pic but we flew by them pretty fast... They pulled up to me when I was cleaning my boat up on the ramp... They got a rope wrapped around the prop... Did a really nice job on it... I'm sure they had to take the prop off to get it...

It was $100 per upright... A little more than I wanted to spend but they had to spend a little time cleaning them up... They were in pretty bad shape to begin with so I didn't mind... They came out perfect... You'd never know that they didn't come from the factory... I probably could have gotten it done cheaper had I shopped around a little...

Guys if you want annodizing I can get you annodizing for $45/color, as many parts as you want... just one price. That however does not include prep.... rather it be polishing or sand blasting though.

Did you open your top after you installed the PRO 80's?
My dealer who was doing the install has stated that the Pro 80's when mounted interfere with the top and that the top cannot be put up on my 20V:bs:
I find this weird since you have them mounted high on the tower and other people(Dogbert) have seen 20V's with the PRO 80's.
I told my dealer to stop the install until I investigate my options. Right now I am only in it for a half hour of labor with them since they did not pull any wires.
What I probably will do is when I pull the boat home from the dealer look at it myself and go from there. It is only 2-3 weeks away. Another fugly situation:(
Anybody need a pair of B stock PRO-80's. Never used.:(

Drop your Bimini mounts lower. You'll be ok. I'm assuming your bimini opens up below the bars, and not on top. Is this correct?

I don't know. I have never opened it yet since the boat has been stored at the dealer ever since I bought it.(Storage was free for 1st season). When I pick up boat I will check. I am 99.9% sure that they will work and that my dealer is whacked. A Darn Cheese Head from WI.:D
There is no reason why the shouldn't especially if we look at Lunchbox's 07 20V:02:
Sorry Jason about Cheese Head comment.
Based on this and some other issues re: the sound system I may look for another source to install. I was doing it at the dealer to avoid warranty issues. Fugly:rolleyes:

Well I'm a cheesehead originally... So be careful... :D
Here's the deal... I have a completely factory tower with a completely factory bimini... I had the bimini up with absolutely no problem yesterday... I even had some life jackets drying in between the speakers on top of the bimini... That's about how much room you have between the bimini and the speaker... It's about an inch... I could see it being an issue with 4 pro 80's on there but I have 80's on the inside and 60's on the outside so clearance is not an issue whatsoever... We might go out again tomorrow so if I do I'll take a picture...

LBX,
OOPS on the Cheese Head comment;)
You don't need to take pictures. I can see what you are refering to in the pictures on this post! I am just tired of some issues with my dealer and this is one of them so I am pulling the install back from them and will determine my options after that.:)
They wanted too much for install of 2 Pro-80's, Zx550-2 amp to drive them and 2nd battery with isolator. I am going to look at my local options and go from there after I get boat out of storage and go for demo ride.
Have a good one and thanks.

I'd have your dealer pull the wires and then you can put what you like on your tower.
After contemplating and giving great thought to the issues I am not even going to have them pull the wires. Assuming their quote to me had little slop in the labor they want about $600 to add 2nd battery and to pull wires. That is almost 7 hours of labor. Right now my faith in their ability to add on components to the factory system is shakey at best.
I think based on today and this issue that I am guinea pig for add on equipment and speakers in their shop for Tige. Heck they originally told me I could hang PRO-60's off the factory amp and not add an amp. I will call Wetsounds and maybe Kicker to see if they know of any installers in my area.Remember my trailer fiasco? I would like to avoid that again:02:
I will re-weigh my options Tuesday once I have calmed down and researched other install options. The PRO-80's will fit in the center of the tower as seen in LBX's pictures. It boils down to my faith in their ability and I will discuss with them on Tuesday next week when they are open again. We shall see.
Don't get me wrong the dealer is pro customer and is willing but I don't know now if they are able on sound side of things. :( On the mechanics side of the boat I have faith.:) They have tried and I am happy about that but I am not going to be the guinea pig again:D
Thank you for the idea. It is appreciated.:)
Sorry about the length.

Keep in mind that your dealer may not have the skills to do audio.
That is what I am afraid of. I trust them and respect their other abilities but for an experienced installer does it take 6 hours to pull two speaker wires to the tower, 2 RCA connections to the amp, a power run to the amp and the battery and isolater wiring? I don't know Maybe Phil or Chpthril can answer this?

Keep in mind that your dealer may not have the skills to do audio.
That makes for the perfect opportunity for someone with who knows what their doing, and has a desire to do it right the first time, to start his own marine audio installation business ;) :D :ro:
A forum like this, or even, god forbid, WW is the perfect place to get a recommendation on a reputable shop in the area.

Before my wife and I dated, we got to know each other pretty well. I was living in Austin and she was up in Chicago. She finally got sick of hearing how nice the weather was down here and moved :ro:

Plans to get out were squashed. I could not get enough people to go. The kids did not want to go the water is 72 and they think that is cold. My regular morning group had to stay home to do the Eater stuff with the family. My wife wanted to go but then when she realized no one else was going she slept in and said for get it. So I did not get out. It is 74 here today it would have been perfect but again it is a holiday weekend and the lake might have been crowded so maybe it is better I wait until Monday. :(
i was going to go back out 2day with the family but it rained ALL day and i could not talk her into going it would have ben perfect it was just a slight drizzle no wind or lightning. water would have been flat and lake empty.
