There is only one lake around here that I go to that has some salt in it and we do not go there all the time, but I have gotten anal about flushing after every use even in the "freshwater"

so that's what those alum plates look like

It is chrome plated steel.

Oh sorry.

That is the tie down ring, the platform backing plates are farther down.
