I can't wait to see more. I think that I am in love with the EQ. It likely will solve many problems people have with boat audio amplifier needs and tower speaker control issues.
Did you see on Wakeworld where Mikeski got a ticket for having blue LED on his tower? Blue lights high on the boat are illegal in California for anyone except law enforcement personnel.

Awesome looking set-up, you should bring it to the Miami Show in Feb...of course it's probably too late to decide to come over now.
Here in Florida you are not allowed to have anything other than your all around white light "constantly illuminated". So it is quite discretionary. Docking lights and spot lights are only allowed to be used when needed to identify navigation aids. The LED's look nice around the tower speakers though.

I went to the Austin boat show Saturday and saw the wetsounds boat. Well, at first I HEARD it, Tim had a jet engine blast and Harley exhaust sound that he would blast every hour or so and was unbelieveable! That boat is sweet too, I love that wrap. Everyone was drooling over it.
Tim, I am guessing you were the dressed up guy talking to everyone, I would have said hello but you were pretty busy with potential clients. Hope you guys did well at the show.
Pretty good show overall, the Ski Dock had a nice Tige setup, they had a 22 and 24 Ve, two RZ2's and an RZ4 one 22i and two Z1's (I think). I sat in the new vision air chair (?) and it was really comfortable.
Also when checking out the Supra's a guy from the factory came over and said hello, we chatted for awhile and he was really cool, no pressure or BS at all. His only comment was how nice Tige's were BUT he was surprised at the price jump over the last few years. He said "they are charging 10K more for the same boat" and I said, well I don't know about 10K, but I know ALL boat prices had jumped in the last 4 - 5 years. He was cool though.
Also Met Shaun Murray, he was REALLY nice and gave us the scoop on some boards that my buddy was looking at. What was funny was I introduced myself and said, it is funny to see you guys in person after seeing you on TV and he said, yeah, I am much talled in person! If you don't know he is a shorter guy, probably like 5' 6" or less. Anyways, he was cool and generally interested in talking. Sponsors have to love him.

Austinsouthside,
Sorry I missed you. No that wasn't me dressed up. That was Trey from Hydrotunes. Trey and Justin from Hydrotunes were manning the booth all weekend as they did the install in our RZ4. I got there on Sat around 4 and stayed till it closed and then all the guys from the show went out downtown.
The show was great.
I will try to get a write up of the system soon. But it was pretty cool being on the other side of the conventional hall and watching people look up thinking there was a jet flying around in there:D

I went Thursday evening and I gotta say, the wetsounds boat is even louder than the first time I heard it on Lake Austin. Pretty sweet set-up.
BTW, Tim, your crew kinda pissed of the TPL folks. However, I did confirm that there is no noise ordinance for having a loud stereo so we're all safe :ro:
I did check out the Z1 and I have to say I like it better than I thought I would. It's narrower than what I have now and you can notice the difference. I still like the RZ2 and the 22Ve better, but that's just me.
There was one really smart vendor there that sold cutlery. So, you're probably thinking what does that have to do with boats, because we're not talking about filet knives or pocket knives, we're talking about the stuff you use ih your kitchen. Then it dawned on me that he sold his products as consolation for any SO getting a boat.
It cost me $400 and I didn't even get a new boat :bs:
If only I hadn't mentioned the waterskiing squirrel....

:ro: We tried to keep the demo down to a quick burst every hour. But even at that some were not so happy. All of the boat dealers love it of course as they sell our speakers so it was all good!
Here is a sneak peak of the system. This was from a news site out of the Netherlands that did a interview with me at CES. http://us.wannahaves.com/item/BABEFFCD/Wetsounds_Wakeboard_Boat
Just click play
I am hoping to get the pics downloaded so I can do a full write up of the system.

Very Nice Tim... You aren't anything like I pictured you to be... :D I figured you to be a skinny, nerdy looking dude... I don't know why but I guess you get this picture in your mind...
BTW - I think "Loudest Boat on the Lake" is the understatement of the year... :ro:

:) Lunchbox, I get that a lot. Mostly when people talk to me on the phone first.
Thanks, yeah. I was going to say this system will kill fish but probably wouldn't be to PC!

Tim, you have a very nice set up. I just wish I could afford to put your stuff on my boat. Right now I am putting all my extra money into things like board racks, cover repairs, and ballast system reapairs.
Some day I may get the Wet Sounds system.

Are those subs in the port storage just screwed right to the floor? I like the idea of that if so, very little install hassle. Building a box, cutting holes....too much work.

Jason,
The subs on the storage area are in a box. Just reverse mounted to show off the magnet. More for show than anything. Although when reverse mounting, you do not have to take into account the displacement of the magnet and frame. They are in a 1 cu ft sealed per 12 inch woofer. The XS-XXX woofers need an enclosure. 1 cu ft or a 1.4 ported.

ok then, you have your next "assignment" ;)
No hassle sub install--like the tower speakers--bolt 'em on, wire 'em up, rock out :ro: :ro: :ro:

Thx, There are 3 subs total. The 2 subs under the passenger area are in 1 cu ft sealed each. The drivers side has a single one, it is in a large slot loaded ported enclosure. 1.3 cu ft.
For the subs I have 2 mono block Hertz HP1D amps. These are high end Italian amps. And put out tons of power. They will do 700x1 at 4 ohms, 1400x1 at 2 ohms and 2300x1 at 1 ohms. I am only running the single at 4 ohms right now so it is getting 700 watts. The other 2 are running at 2 ohms for them so 1400x1, 700 to each woofer.
I plan on taking the single one to 1 ohm, (now that CES is over!) and putting it to some abuse. We rate the new XS-XXX at 1000watts rms. So it will be getting 2300 watts. But as the system is now. The bass is un real!:ro: So it doesn't need any more power but what the heck.
I will tell you that if you go with one. Under the drivers footwell works the best. If you go with 2, you can run into some phase cancellation issues so placement of the 2nd one is critical.
