Post count does control your member status. Matt just wants to make sure that a thread stays somewhat ;) on topic and is gracious enough to allow us ho's our own little thread the topic is everything and :ot: is "on topic" :ro:

Some of us have fun chasing post count and some dont feel it's right to just post a bunch of :bs: for the sake of post count. At the end of the day, it really doesn't mean anything.

It's nice to have a thread to just say what ever is on you mind. Some times we actually have an in depth discussion and end up starting a real thread so we can share. Some days, we will post 50-60 pages of nothing, just 10 diff topics going on at once.

Have you guys ever stood around the water cooler at the office, and had a non-work related conversation with coworkers. Have you ever been at the bar having a beer (or a soda for some of you) and just talked about total :bs: Stuff that means absolutely nothing. Maybe even had 3 or 4 different topics going all at once?

This thread (TWPHD) is just a place for us Tige owners here to have a conversation with each other about whatever is on our minds at the time, but not related to any ongoing threads.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again POST COUNT MEANS JACK at the end of the day. There is no prize, there is no pay raise. It only means something to those that let it mean something.

That is probably a viable means, but I dont IM so I really dont know the in's & out's of it. Other then Matt's concerns about storage space, I'm still having trouble understanding the the real issues with it? :confused:

I'm really surprised Matt let the other thread go longer then a week. Some on those pics crossed the line IMO, but I never complained because I did enjoy the show :ro: like most men (and some women ;) ) but this is a public forum, and if I dont like the contents of a thread, I just dont go into it. It would be like eating at a restaurant that you KNOW has bad food, and then complaining to the Manager about :confused:

I not saying Matt should leave it open, I'm not it is an important part of this forum, I'm not saying we deserve to have it, but can you guys help me understand the harm in it (other them Matt's prev statement).

I am with you chpthril. I do not see any harm in having some thread with :bs:. What one might consider :bs: might be important to others.

I started looking at this site about a month ago and got many valuable information that some of you might think it was just :bs:

In my humble :02: opinion, if you think a thread is all :bs:, just look at others that might be more important to you.

my count was over 4k before that thread.

yes that thread is bs, but there are lots of times where it's very useful and we get things worked out, it just so happens that it's lost in the newest 20 pages of bs.

But it's the one thread where we can just chat and not worry about it.

That's why we do Our BEST to try and not hijack other threads since Matt allows us to keep it. Three post whore thread to someone that does not go in it everyday it is useless :bs: but if your in it alot you will see there ist quite a bit of good discussion going on.

I singled out Domsz06 only because I know he would not take it personal. It was just something to do to see the response. I have used the thread myself to get my post count up a little. It is just like CHP said. A great place to talk about nothing with out messing up all the threads that are about something.

Every one here has great input so lets take all this conversation to the thread that we are talking about to bring this thread back on topic.
