I'm looking at an '02 Tige 22i Rider's edition, does anyone have pics riding behind one (same hull) they'd be willing to post? I checked out YouTube, did some fishing around - so far no luck.

Thanks!

P.S. I'm looking at it for wakeboarding.

is that a stock wake or does he have some ballast on it. ...? i am trying to see what other people are running as fatsacs so i know what to run.. that wake is awsome. it takes 8 people and a full tank of fuel to get mine close to that with my taps aslo..

Oh - that's beautiful. Chills here people. I plan to be joining your ranks very soon, very soon indeed. Lots of buzz around the boards, for and against the Tige wakes - but with pictures like this, who could argue??

We had about 8 or 9 people in the boat plus 1200 lbs in ballast.

2 - Pro X-Series Side Sacks 250 each, one in each rear hatch area.
2 - Pro X-Series Fat Brick 150 each, both in the bow aisle.

if i put the pro x series in the rear lockers and a fat brick right infrot of the launch seat and then 440 lbs in the bow that would give me about 1100 lbs.
so it would be 675 in the rear and 440 in the front.. would that help or do i need more in the front or there rear. .. i have heard 60 / 40

the reason is that i need like one more foot of air to land my back roll.. they say i am makeing 98 % of my rotation and then the nose of the just barley grabs the water before i land... so i need to get my wake as big as i can to start going bigger....

Actually, on a direct drive Tige, you want 50/50. On a v-drive, you actually want more weight in the front.

oh realy.. i didnt know that.. well the most i can realy get in the rear is about 700 is 1400 lbs to much for a 22i. im kind of new to owning my own boat so this might sound dumb but i want to put weight in the rear and in the bow right, not in the rear and then right infront of the motor right?

That's right, the 22 I/R that we rode had 350's in each of the rear lockers and huge sack in the walkway up front. They also had some lead weights.

thanks for all the info.. i oreder about 1500 lbs in ballast bags for my 2002 22i and i got them in today and went straight to the lake.. and let me tell you it makes a huge difference... a 440 in each rear locker, a 440 in the bow walkway and two 85 lb blocks for fine tuning and with only a friend and i in the boat it was huge.. i was way over rotating my backroll at first and over shooting everything.. awsome man.. i am running about 1500 lbs right now in the boat and am very happy with it.. thanks again

So I'm 27 with no prospects - what's a girl to do? Buy herself a boat. Houses are overrated anyways. Here he is!

Great looking boat! She looks in good shape. You'll have to go out and sit in her and think of warmer months! This board is good therapy until summer comes back.

we didn't get out a lot this year so i didn't weight our '01 22ir down too much. just a little over 300 in back and 50 up front. but when i feel like flying high i go up to around 2000 pounds. easily goes knee high+ and i'm 6'1". plus its a clean wake which means more than a big wake. i just love the fact that my i-drive has a bigger cleaner wake than my buddy's newer and considerably more expensive wakesetter. i'll snap a pic next time we're out.

Hey Kana12 - Nice job on the backroll! Would love to see the before and after with the wake. The ballast system on my new baby's 900 pounds (2x250 sacks in the back, plus 400 in the centre tank). What setup did you end up with?

Thanks Sam and TypeI, I'm really looking forward to it. Pics are great - gives me something to look forward to.

check out the thread named " BOAT COMPARISON" under genral discussion.. ive posted them there..... i went with a 440 lb sac in each rear locker and a 440 lb in the bow and 2 85 lb blocks for fine tuning. but to be real honest i like the best set up with one 440 lb right infront of the rear seat and a 440 lb sac on the bow and the blocks on each side of the engine cover.. much cleaner wake and thios weekend we went out and i was 9 for 12 on the back roll...

Very nice! My wife was holding out for a yellow boat until we came across a deal we couldn't pass up....on a green boat.

Be careful, the boat consumes you, next thing you know your boss is asking you why you log onto Tigeowners.com 22 times per day :D :ro:
