How are you local dealer service? we purchased a 2003 21 i last year. Wanted to put PERFECT PASS on our boat I called to schedule installation with our local dealer in Sacramento. They told me there would be TWO MONTH WAIT!!!! SO I scheduled a date to service our boat and take care of some warranty issues. We were scheduled to install on 6-22. I have called for the past two weeks to make sure the dealer ordered the PERFECT PASS WAKEBOARD PRO they said it was on its way. WELL the boat sat at the dealer for two days, they did not touch the boat, the PERFECT PASS never showed up, nor did they fix or check any of the warranty issued. (bad tach. cracked plastic, upholstery issues) I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY WE GET HOSED ONCE WE LEAVE THE SALES FLOOR!!!! If any one knows someone or some company in SACRAMENTO,CA that can install the PERFECT PASS for me E-MAIL me at racerhirst@yahoo.com. I LOVE OUR BOAT, I WOULD NOT WANT ANY OTHER, BUT THIS SERVICE IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've gone through the same frustrations with our dealer.
They hire strangers off the street,, and some are on the ball,, some are not.
Sales of Tige's are phenominal,, and I hope this doesn't get the dealers cocky and calouse that they can ignor service issues to even lower levels than it is now.
My impression of the Sac dealer was they were pretty full of themselves and subject to be insensitive to owners.
If you notify Tige',, they'll get right back to you, and they will contact the dealer.
Supra, Malibu, Natiques Mastercrap have taken notice that they're way behind in sales and design,, and poor Tige service could tip the sales scale to them in the near future.
Call Tige,, they'll help you out.
You're gonna love the boat,, and love perfect pass too,, once you get this issue behind you.
My next Tige will be 100% the way I want it before I take delivery.
Any flaws,, I walk.

Amen to that!
...and sorry but I don't know anyone in Sac that can help you out.
My dad (real owner of the boat) dislikes the Tige service in Dallas that he is even getting out boat service and repaired (see my other thread about hitting a stump) at the Correct Craft (Nautiques) dealer down the road. But he and the rest of the family including myself agree that the Sales department is greatness.

To all Tige Owners, I understand that dealerships are very busy this time of year and our goal is to keep the owners happy. If you feel that a dealership is being unreasonable or unresponsive to your service needs, we can try to assist in finding another service center in your area to complete the service. However this may require some travel on your part. If you are needing to have warranty issue resolved and feel the dealership is being unreasonable or unresponsive please contact Harvey or myself and we will assist in that area.
Hope everyone has a Safe and Happy Boating Season.

Sounds like the dealers in Cal are a little full of themselves. Call Tige direct at (325) 676-7777 and ask for Ryan or Tom. They are very knowledgeable and courteous. Maybe they can put some corp. pressure on these dealers to perform....

I have never had anything but quick, complete and very happy service from the S. CA dealer. Tige' Watersports has always come through and fixed everything I ever needed fixed. I am surprised to hear that some other customers are getting service that is not up to their standards. I have had several small items fixed or repaired on my boat very quickly and completely. Greg in Service (and Oscar before him) has always been very accessable and helpful. This may be because I have been dealing with them for 12 years. But, I don't think I would still be going there if I hadn't been getting "AAA" help and service for that long.

I second Flackjack's opinion of Tige Watersports in Corona. They have been incredible. I had a stitching problem with one of my seats and one of the salesman, Daniel, even offered to have me drop it off at his house since I live closer to him and he would take it in and return it. (I chose to go to the dealer because it is just another excuse to pick up a new toy for the boat)! I have even heard of him taking and dropping off boats for customers. They definitely go the extra mile. The head of the service department, Greg, (Tige M.D.) is extremely knowledgeable. Keep up the great job, Tige Watersports! All the big companies have great boats out there, but it is this type of service that will make people return to Tige.
You should move to colorado!! JK -
The dealer here Wakeboard and Waterski Specialty is the best dealer around HANDS DOWN! I have stories that would nlow your mind about how this dealer goes out of their way to give great service, even picking up boats at the lake that only need 100 hour services etc. I have now purchased 2 Tiges from them, my last one I put 340 hours on it in less than 3 years and had every scheduled mtc done by them as well as a few things added and a few things i messed up all on my own and they never ever had my boat for more than 24hours! I work early and they allow me to drop it off before work and pick up late. They are the best!!! absolutley the best! Thx to Bill, Donna, Scott, Cory and Josh who all have made my Tige experience better than I could have ever hoped for!

Thanks Andrew. I think you spoke to my dad (Guy Hoffman). He appreciates what you did and are doing for him.
blr, where in Colorado is your dealer?
they are just putting up a new building at their new location in north denver (68th & pecos) they had a small shop at 72nd and federal (thornton) but their great reputation and service has made it so they must go bigger! I can't say enough about them.

OH YEA, BLR, MY DEALER, TIGE WATERSPORTS, CAN OUT-SERVICE YOUR DEALER ANYTIME!!! LOL... It's great that their are numerous tremendous dealers in the Tige family. That is a huge reason Tige is growing so quickly, along with a terrific product!

all you guys should be thankful to have great dealers. GREAT BOATS SHOULD HAVE GREAT DEALERS!! I know every one is busy but if I treated my customers poorly I would not have the things I have. If anyone has a phone number to another dealer within 100 miles of Sacramento I would appreciate it. thank ,RACER
tkuzma - I have heard great things about the corona dealer, I also ordered the graphics for my boat from them (only one in colorado:)
(see gallery)
it is no wonder they are the number one tige dealer. cool thing is you used to see nothing but MC;s around here when i bought my boat, now the tiges way outnumber all of the other brands! It all has to do with service and word of mouth. my dealer started out really small but they are now a top 10 tige dealer. The "other" brand dealers around here used to shun my dealer at the colorado dealers meetings, now they fight over who gets to sit next to them!! I also work in a service industry and it is great to find people who treat their customers as well as we do.

I 3rd that motion for Corona Tige Watersports...........
I brought my boat in for service on Tuesday at 8:15am and had a call at 2PM the same day that my boat was ready.
Also, after I took my daily cruise upon two sandbars, when I finally called Corona Tige about some concerning questions, their responce (Daniel) what took you so long to call me, and told me not to worry, no damaged occured.
Corona Tige Watersports are #1 :D

I'm surprised.
A seperation started in our interior within the first month.
Tige in Corona would only glue the tear.
The skin was stretched to tight at the factory and wore/poked through.
We fought and fought,, all we got was glue.
Smart move: glue a streched, screamin' over stressed spot on the interior.
It looks horrible,, and incidents like this remind me why I get so angry and frustrated with them.
Their service and attitude can really suck sometimes.
I had cheap Seadoos once. Sea Doo replaced every seat that had any serious flaws.

I would have to 4th or 5th the great service I have received at Tige Watersports. I called Daniel just to let him know I scheduled my appointment and same as Tkuzma he offered to take it for me. These are things that you shouldnt have to expect although they are willing to do it.
If dont know about anyone else, but everytime I go to the lake I see more Tige's than any other brand and that speaks volume. Especially for the guys in Corona. The more boats you sell the more you have to service. Flying Tiger I understand your frustration, but are you being too picky? If you think you have your fair share of problems with your Tige or Dealer cruise the Mastercraft, Nautique or Malibu owners websites.
The other reason I chose Tige is because of the staff at Tige Watersports, I heard nothing but good things compared to some of the others where you should be happy you bought this brand sort of attitude or having your boat sit for a week at the dealer for a simple oil change. Hopefully all your issues can be addressed or corrected so you can be completely satisfied for purchasing a Tige in Corona.

Maybe I am picky.
We had lots of frustrations with our radio.
After several visits to correct it,, (a 100 mile drive for us), I was finally able to get their radio guy to take a look at it, but with animosity from the service writer, who I think is no longer there.
The radio guy asked me: "who did this installation?" "It wasn't me"
"Was it done here?".
The radio was completely wired wrong, and interior hardware surrounding it was rusting pretty bad (I replaced the rusted parts with stainless at my own expense).
So finally, after several visits, the radio was re wired, and correctly installed. I bought the radio new with the boat at Tige'.
I have no paper trail on most of this work because I just dropped in,, I just finally kept driving into the dealer and ask for some more immediate help after only being able to secure an appointment months away, when summer is over.
I had no choice, what would you do?
We spent most of our first year at the river with our new Tige' with no sound system ( we have sat radio too), plus the tower speakers duct taped to the tower because they came loose and tightening them was no cure (embarassing), and the innital installation was bad, and we couldn't get an appointment until boating season was over.
Yea, I may be a bit picky,, but I spent a lot of money, and some of the installs and afterservice sucked.
I kept my cool,, but still I had to repeatly return untill I realized Chris was the guy to go to,, and I got a little worked up.
I don't like going over the employees head or the service managers head to the boss,, I was trying to do it right,, and work with the employees using the system correctly.
The gluing of the interior tear takes the cake. It really looks bad, and is coming apart again, and stuff like this and other unresolved problems gets one frustrated.
But I've apoligized to everyone at the dealer I came in contac with,, and I wasn't that bad,, and life is good, and my Tige' is awsum, and I recomend Tige' to the massive countless people that wade up to or walk up to us to talk about it.

Let me add:
My relationship with Tige is now great.
I can simply phone Mike the service writer, and he has a solution for my problems, and orders my stuff promptly,,
I attribute any problems I had beause of Phenominal growth and a flood of customers that overwhelmed Tige of Corona.
It's hard to realize that when you're frustrated.
I've walked into the service shop when the service manage is upside down in a boat, fixing a Velvet drive,, has lots of other more serious problems yet to be dealt with, and he has to deal with customers that are far bigger A holes than me,, plus his own lifes hassles, employee issues ect, and there I am with a petty issue.
They were overwhelmed,, and have taken steps to correct it,, and all is well.
They have always been better than any other boat dealer I've dealt with,, and I've owned 11 new boats.
See you all at the reunion.

My Tige dealer in Oregon has been the best. They have some kind of commitment to Tige or themselves that as long as the part is here they will only have your boat for a day. Mine has never sit there more then 24 hours unless I forgot to tell them something I wanted done. Thanks again Stayton Motor Sports !!!

I don't know what you're doing different but I can't stand Tige' in Corona. Every single issue I've ever had with my boat, and I've had a lot, they have charged me for EVERYTHING! They even wanted 300+ dollars for a new glovebox lid, which broke the first week I had the boat, warranty perhaps? Nope, shell out 300! I have given up on them and don't even bother driving the 2.5 hour round trip to Corona. I haven't been in there in a couple years so perhaps they have got better on the customer service side but I wouldn't care to test them out.

The dealer should be as much a part of the boat decision as the boat mfgr. Tige Precision Boats in Arizona is #1 in service. I don't consider my dealer or his staff as anything but my friends. Service never takes more than a day and they work hard to resolve even the most minor problems. I get a kick out of seeing MC and other brands getting service there.

I'll second this one. This dealer and their customer service is why we ended up buying a Tige. They put a reverse arch tower on our old runabout but measured slightly incorrectly. When the tower was installed, it was not possible to open the engine compartment hatch any more than about 4 inches. They ate the cost of our custom built tower (roughly $2000) and patched the holes, no questions asked. When it came time to look for a new boat, this was the first (and as it turns out only) dealer we talked to. Terry, Kevin, and Betsy have been wonderful to work with, and the guys in service are awesome as well. I can't say enough good things about the way we've been treated there.
