Went over to the Snake River near Clarkston, WA. last weekend and found a little piece of paradise. My wife and I had the river all to ourselves. We were able anchor our boat right at our campground for easy access in and out. Great place to go. The water stayed like glass for most of the day-- 3 out of 4 days.

I multi tasked and was able to take this photo of my wife with the train in the background...while driving the boat

This trip had the best water conditions that we've ever had.
We were at Shasta at the end of June and the wind blew in every morning by 10:30, I was really bummed out about that.

That pic with the train in the background is a terrific picture. Thanks for sharing.
That's it, I am moving.
How was the water temp? Is the river cold? Obviously, the river is slow and deep at that spot.

Tall,
The river averaged 50 feet, the water was 72 & the air was in the high 80's.
The Northwest has so many awesome campgrounds. This one is called Chief Timothy, it's on the Washington/Idaho border.

The only bad thing about the trip was the ride home. I battled 30 to 40 mile an hour winds for 6 hours straight. It was a handful keeping the camper and boat in our lane, and the boat cover left a lot of rub marks all over. I probably should have left the cover off for the trip back home.:(

Hey Carter,
Nice pics and water.
I thought maybe you fell off the end of the earth, haven't seen you on here for awhile. Oh I forgot, the Snake is the end of the earth.
Is Clarkston near Brownlee Reservoir? That's where I'm think of going next year.
Missed you guys at Detroit for the Tige Day.

WHAT??!!! You were in my town and you didn't call me? Chief Timothy is a fine campground but there are several more that are better. Any Tigeowner in need of a pull in the Lewis-Clark valley can come on my boat.
