Mystery surf trick...

I just learned how to do this the other day and I'm curious if it qualifies as a real trick and if so, what is the name of it? Not that impressive I know, but it was fun.

Absolutely - crouch, or tuck. On the AWSA trick list. Do a rail grab and/or touch the water for additional style points. If you REALLY want to make it big...hang 5 and bring your trailing knee down. :)

Thats the first trick I teach my kids when they surf. That and some grabs. Some others are the sitting duck, and then the fire hydrant.

I may give you older guys a run for your money next year... I'm turning 40 in October, and will be in the Masters division, now I just have to get my butt down to NO Cal... I was able to do a Fire Hydrant, Crouch on the Landlock 6'-1" That is a BIG, Slow board after riding the Thresher all summer. I would love to try your 8'-6" board for cruising.
