I have heard about this party before. I do not know if that would be a good party as people begin to get drunk. It could get real ugly. just an FYI the CHP California Highway Patrol is going to be on jet skies this year on the river waiting for DUI's. keep and eye out. They have a whole bunch of new officers.

it's crazy there at times. I agree with tigeblue, I went up the American River with her about 5 weeks ago.... she was pissed... :( She doesn't like strippers if you know what I mean..... Nor spaghetti.

From what I have been told by some of the guys during training classes this is the big party of the year there. I bet the CHP like to hang out for the views more than the DUI's.

My problem is that the GF doesn't enjoy it... :( She can be very jealous at times.

I understand that. That's why you take a guys trip, look dont' touch then come home with flowers bottle of wine, etc to keep her happy. Least I can do stuff like that with mine, if she doesn't wanna go that is;)

DaBell you going to be out this weekend?
da.bell
08-24-2007, 09:45 PM
Nope, we aren't going out. State Fair on Sunday and Saturday we have: soccer games (4 games total) and errands to run. I hate to say this but it looks like my season is done already. Waters low, can't go to Lake Clementine with my boat, and don't know the river that well yet since I have only been there once so far and that was on someone elses boat.

Its not as bad as people say it is. So don't worry. I won't even board on a lake anymore unless its mourning.
The best thing is. Maybe only 1 tuber on the river. :ro:
I would give it a shot if I were you:D

I would to but my boat doesn't turn as well as yours does... I have another 4 feet more boat and about 1000 lbs more..... It just doesn't turn on a dime...

Okay, it's only 600 lbs more than you do.... :D

you would turn just fine. the river is wider than it looks from your office window:D
Don't knock it till you try it:p

I've been out there already. Just want to go again on someone elses boat.
We have heard of a lot of problems with boats hitting stumps and damaging their prop and hulls. Taking a look at the conditions at the beginning is the key to it....

da.bell we need to use our wave runners to check out the river. My wife wants to do that but our kids are now getting to big for us to ride with them on the backs.

We can arrange that one weekend when you have free. I will talk with the GF and can take them out first or the day before and then the next day, we can take the boat. But, will have to talk with the GF first. :)

well I have been taking mine out there 3 days a week for the last 2 weeks. I have never hit anything or came close too yet. The river does move kinda fast. So when you pick up a rider you need to be aware of your surroundings. I have never heard of anyone hitting a stump yet. But if your driving too close to the shore I can see that happening.
Do it! You will be glad you did. It beats out any other glass run ever! Totally the way to go!
