We bought out Tige from The Slalom Shop in Lewisville, TX. and I was wondering where are the closest other Tige dealerships to it. What cities, states, etc. Thanks for the help.

Does anyone know any place in the D/FW metroplex area that can service our Tige (2004 22V) other than The Slalom Shop? We have had a great experience with their sales department, but their service department is horrible. So bad that if we can't find an alternative to service the boat, we will be left with no choice but to sell it.

IMO, The Slalom Shop should change their service department. Unfortunately, our Tige will be gone by the end of this week. On the bright side, it will be replaced by another brand.

The sales department was great, the other owners were great, but the service department was terrible.

That sucks, the service departments in Orlando suck also. I think this summer we will selling our Tige. We are going to just buy a super air nautique. Tige does not have there S together. We parts, gear, service, anything? Here in Florida they keep telling its coming, but we keep checking and know one even at the shops have a clue!!!!

The reason our boat has been out of the lot for so long is because we have waited just under a month for them to install 2 more speakers, 6 lights, fix the gas gauge and the speedometer, fix the tower screws, and a few other problems. My dad decided he shouldn't have to wait a month for this all to get worked out.

We are not sure what boat we are going to get. We are considering Malibu and Nautique mostly. I love our boat and the only way we would keep it is if there is a good service alternative which I don't think there is. We still have to go look around for boats though.

Good News:

As of now were keeping the Tige :D ... Just getting it serviced somewhere else. I'm glad we didn't sell it.

i know you live in the DFW area, but is it feasible to trailer the boat to Abilene? i've dealt direct with tige and had very favorable results. with the list of bugs, etc... that you have it may be of the best benefit. FYI, that means i trailer mine for 85 miles.
also, tige may be able to arrange to have the boat brought back to the slalom shop for you. saves you a return trip.

We were thinking of doing that. It would be a 6-7 hour drive for us. Not a bad idea though.

Sorry to hear you have had a bad experience at the Dealer but our experience doesn't reflect the same problems and we have dealt with The Slalom Shop since 2002.

They helped us with getting the latest setup on tower speakers for our 24v - we got the new Titan Alphas with integrated light bar at the winter boat show. The installation was the most professional of any we have had (this is our 7th boat) and they have been the most professional of any dealer we have worked with in Dallas.

That being said I knew to attack this effort in early spring before summer hit as I have been the one trying to get stereo work done in mid summer and it is not fun.

On memorial weekend this summer our throttle handle came loose and destroyed the TAPs switch which basically makes the boat un-useable as the taps runs continuously at level 7. I called the slalom shop on Saturday of memorial weekend - They said come on in. I drove back and literally waited while they replaced the throttle assembly (there was a recall from tige on our throttle assembly) 30 min later I was headed back to the lake with the new throttle assembly (the cooler one with red tige logo) and my waiting extended family who had flown in for a lake weekend. Under normal circumstances on a holiday weekend you would be screwed but Slalom Shop stands behind what they sell and I respect that.

They don't always have the answer but I have found they always do what they can. These guys are also the Cobalt dealer and no owners are more high maintenance than Cobalt owners - for the price of those things dealers have to be on the ball or they would go under.

I hope you get another chance to use them, but I know how frustrating it can be when you have an expensive toy collecting dust.

Does anyone have name or phone number of the individual responsible for quality control at the Tige plant? I have many issues to discuss with them...including but not limited to, the "maximum occupancy" decal that belongs in the boat. According to the Sherrif Deputy on the lake, I was two degrees from getting a ticket/fine...(it was only 98 degrees outside. Once it hits 100 he is in a worse mood!) Where is the quality control? How could this boat leave the factory without the decal? This is about the 5th item on my list.....I have had enough.

If it is over 20' should not need a capacity plate.

For the max occupancy under Coast Guard Regulation 183.21 boats over 20 feet do not require the sticker.

Any other concerns you can contact Bobby at the Factory he is in charge of QC. Anything you can pinpoint will only help.

Mine did not have a sticker either. I got hasseled on the lake by a Game Warden. He did not give me a ticket but warned me I had to have the sticker. I contacted Tige and they sent me a sticker.

Guys,
I have had nothing but positive experiences with my Tige.
Talk to the guys in Abilene; They will go out of their way to make things right!

I only know one person at the dealership{Jeff Morales} in Lewisville, and if he's an example of the whole organization then your O.K.

Don't let one bad experience cause to bum out on this boat. It's a super boat!

I have not had very good luck with my new Tige 22i. Bought new this year in April from H&H in Oklahoma City. I'm know it has been back to the shop atleast 10 times!! At first I blamed Tige but then started to see that maybe it's the dealer. But if it was right from Tige or if it didn't go wrong in the first place, H&H wouldn't have a chance to not fix it!! So maybe it is Tige! I talked to Andrew @ Tige and his solution was for me to bring the boat back to them and they would fix it!! My dealer keeps telling me that "these are very complex machines and that it just takes time to work out the kinks"! I understand that and have been very patient.

My problem is when the warranty is up next year, what am I going to do? I am going to have a 40k$ boat that everything doesn't work unless it gets to go to the shop between every two outings!

Jason739 and rags2 I would like to join you in comparing lists! I believe I would win!

I regret having bought a boat from Tige because of the troubles I have had and the reactions I have gotten! I also regret having purchased from H&H!

I too have bought from H&H, I'm sad to see Larry leaving. He always was takeing care of me. Tony, the servie manager and I are very close, I've been in their so many times. They have told me the same thing, "tige's are a very complex machine, and they take the bugs getting worked out of them before they run right. Mine's been in for:

Speaker blown one week after purchase, oil gauge went out, vinyl ripping, exhaust gasket gone, steering cable dead, oil pressure gauge dead, cup holders cracked after one week, and other stuff I can't remember.

They have always taken care of me, except for once. It will be interesting to see how things go since larry is gone now. All in all I love my tige. I have no intentions of selling it, but if the dealer chooses to not be nice after all the warrenties run out, then we will be doing some serious talking.

My friend bought a 21I also, same time I did, his has the decal.....
