Ok,

Here's the scoop. My throttle handle normally kicks in at around the 10 or 11'oclock poistion. Now it takes all the way to almost 7 and it's hardly any power. I just had the thing in the shop for a throttle problem. Anyone have any ideas? I was gonna go out and look at it in the morning, but just thought I'd see if anyone has any ideas on what to look for. I really don't want to have it at the dealer(it's still under warrenty) since it will take a few days, and I want to board this week:)

Thanks everyone.

Doms,

I had a similair problem when I picked my boat up from the dealer. The throttle cable came loose. There is a clamp that the throttle cable is suppose to lock into, the cable popped out from the clamp and when you gave the boat throttle it would not have any power.

On my 2004 22I the clamp is located right next to the PP on the motor. Follow the cable back and make sure that the cable is fully seated in the locking clamp. I will try to post some picks if needed.

Do you have perfect pass. If so, check the set screw on the black knob that adjusts tension on your throttle. Mine came loose and showed symptoms you described. Used loc-tite to hold screw in

Yeah, I think that was it. Is that knob in the engine compartment?

Yes, it's a black colored knurled knob that has a string attached to it that connects to the throttle cable. Make sure that set screw is tight !
