Depth Finder

My depth finder always reads 2.5 feet no matter where I am on the lake. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could look for within the unit to try and fix it?

Is your depth finder aftermarket. I had a Humminbird TDR 600 and it would only register 2.5 feet. I saw a old thread on wakeworld that some units were bad. I sent it back to Humminbird and they sent me a new unit. Have not had time to test it in the water yet.

Yes it is. It was just replaced because the other one was bad with a different problem. Thanks i'll check into it.

Sounds like you need to replace the unit in the dash, we have had alot of problems with the Hummingbird depth finders in the last year.

Yea i just had it replaced because the first one was bad.

think i'm just going to replace the entire system. kind of tired of dealing with it. i'm sure you feel the same.
