Service Bulletins?

Where can I find these? I have a 2000 21V and went through 3 serpentine belts last summer. There are always belt shavings in the motor box, although I have no eagle eye, I think the alternator pully is misaligned. The motor is the black scorpion, and I am wondering if this is a known problem.

Thanks domslude... the problem is my boat is a 2000, and those advisories only go back to last year. Any other ideas?

hanz we had no service adviseries on your boat. You might check with Merc. to see if they did. I think you are right your alternator is misaligned and this has not been a problem with the black scorpion.

You can call MerCruiser directly at 405-743-6555 and follow the prompts. Hope this helps and they will be able to get some tech guys to assist. This will be your best approach.

Thanks! I called Mercury and spoke with a tech (Rocky). He was very helpful and said there is a service bulletin for that engine. The alternator is misaligned and there is an easy fix any Merc dealer can do. The bulletin number is 2003-4.
