I have been inspired by a few of you while reading the discussion about TimB on the blown engine in the new 20i. I chose not to put my two :02: in, because I agree with some of the others that had pretty direct comments. Anyway, thanks to evilone and anhaney I think we should mention something nice, good or positive about our tige's. I am in a business where I have to deal with irrational people with unrealistic expectations and a complete attitude that the world won't revolve unless they are in it. I don't want my self to be on here bitc*- in about something all of the time, and end up like one of the people that irritate me on a daily basis. Dont get me wrong in my short time here you guys have been great in helping me to get more familiar with things on my boat. Most of the treads here are working through some sort of problem or concern. So I will take the lead and ask the rest of you to do the same, to, say something nice.

What do you like? What really rocks about your tige'?

Here is a quote from the blown engine that got me to thinking,

"Another you should realize is that you will always read a lot more negative stories on the internet then you will positive. Most people don't create a post everytime their boat performs as expected but will certainly start a thread as soon as they hear a new rattle." compliments of evilone.

You know what I like about my boat? It is SEXY! I dig it, I love the transom, the way it has the concave arch built into the transom, how sexy. I'm sure it makes for some tricky moves to get out of the mold, but it is sexy. I also love the feel of the vynil in my boat. It feels like soft plush leather. Mainly the white outer bands that form the overal seat shape. The part that would fall just under the back side of your knee. My sales guy said it was a new type of vynil they just started using. I also like the vision air seat that I chose. I almost backed out of the additional $400 cost, but now that I sit it I wouldn't trade it at all. Greeeeeaaaaaatttt Boat!

lets hear from the rest of you, what do you like, whats good?:) :) :) :D

What do you like?
I like the Tigeowners Portal. I like the Tigeowners portal becuase of all the great people on here that are willing to help me with my Tige'. This is a great online community and I dont think there is a better family out then the Team Tige family.
What's best about my boat?
The best thing about our boat is that its ours. Its the perfect boat for our family. My favorite thing is that when I pull the boat off the trailer I get the feeling that im in charge and Im in control and to me thats the best feeling in the world.

I love my tige. it is what bonded me and my dad even tighter before he died. It gave us something together to get away from it all. and now its a great tribute to his memory. sure I love to wakeboard and all but the times I miss the most is just me and him sitting on our tige just chillin.

The online community is amazing. and help is always close by. I had the best dealer in the world in las vegas who will stay a close friend. Like my dad said "if I could buy another tige tommorow, I would"

My Tige Dealer ( Tige Water Sports) really hooked me up.

Me and my wife where shopping for our first boat. A buddy told me to get a master craft, but price was too high. We where looking at a Bayliner and Yamaha.
We almost put the money down on an AR230 Yamaha when I seen the tige dealer off of the 91 freeway. Stopped by looking at there I/O and they ask what I would be using the boat for. I told them my Kids wanted to wakeboard. Bottom line I got a brand new switch V with Tower, 2 axel trailer, Killer stereo, Bimini, and boat cover for the same OTD as the Yamaha. ( tige came with everything stock, AR230 where options)
I even got the better engine, MPI vs carb.

I have never regretted the purchase from them
Their service even rocks. :ro:
Thanks guys.

I bought my first Tigé just under a year ago. Since then, I've had nothing but outstanding experiences from all you guys (and gals) here. ANYTIME I've had a question, concern or just needed someone to bounce something off of I get plenty of help....which is more than I can say for some other places on the net.

Anyway, what I love about my Tigé is that it gives me an excuse to be with friends that I normally would only see once in a while. Its also a great place for me to spend time with my two girls and my wife. There are so many life lessons I can teach the girls around boating, and it helps to have a great boat.

Any oh yeah, there is the boarding, surfing, cruising and all that really wicked fun stuff too.

I like my Tige because of what the brand stands for. I have had nothing but good experiences with the boat and the dealership along with other envy about the looks of the boat. It makes me happy and watching the childrens eye open up when I say, "Let's going boating" and all of them say we get to go in "Itty Bitty". Yes, we could have bought from another manufacturer but didn't.

Mine is 10 years old, just as solid as the new stuff, looks as good as the new stuff, and is the best boat I have ever owned. Better than any outboard fishing boat, although I do miss fishing. I get consistant raised eyebrows when asked the age of my boat. I purchased this boat as a refirb project to sell in a couple of years and enjoy while I reworked it; rest of the family does hot rods, I figured I would be different. The reworking is almost done, and I think I will have to buy something else to hobby on, because I don't want to sell it just yet.

Maybe I can hold on to it a few more years and Tige' will trade me so they can put it in a Tige' museum......:D

Give me a carb anyday! Maybe it's a redneck/coonass thing.

Seriously, I couldn't imagine buying a boat from any other dealer around here, it's a plus that they happened to sell the best boats too! :)

I've had mine for 6 years now and have done many upgrades. Not one of them has been to the motor or drive or hull or systems. Besides regular service, I just haven't had to do anything to it. Anything that has given me an issue has been completely my doing. I've cooked an impeller and that cooked the housing and the belt. My fault. I ran it out of gas once. My fault. Couldn't get it restarted because I had clogged the fuel filter up and didn't have a spare. Live and learn. Minor stereo issues. All mine. I did have a seal go out on a TAPS ram. Replaced by Bennett for free even though it was past warranty. The thing has basically never let me down.

That's the main reason. Another is comfort. Still the most comfortable D-drive ever. Every seat in the house is layed out to perfection. There are newer designs that may be a bit more functional, but none are as comfortable.

Build quality. Before I starting looking for my boat, I researched everything I could on modern (at the time) tow boats. I started with the MC's and really liked the 209. Looked at the Centurions as my uncle had had a few. Looked at the Bu's, Tweeks, Sangers, Supras, Moombas and MB's as well and I looked hard. For a year I poked, prodded, and felt up every boat I could get my hands on (or in:D ). Not one could match what Tige had on the table. So I set out to find my 22i and did. That was in '01 and the Double O has yet to let me down. Whats not to love?

Good call Scoot. These threads are nice to see once in a while.

Oh yeah, I guess this place is alright as well except for the fact that all you losers are are here.;)

My Vdrive bolts backed out leaving me dead on the water. Transmission went out leaving me dead on the water. throttle cable seized meaning you had to be Hercules to get the boat to move-

Now to the good part
Boats of Nevada.
V-Drive bolts went out right before 4th of July. Drove my boat to Boats of nevadas and said i needed the Boat back since I had a high school group. The repaired my boat right then and I was on the road home in 3 hours.

Transmission - Boats of nevada actually picked up my boat in Havasu and took it to there shop and repair. Now they were delivering another boat to Havasu but the timing was perfect for us.

Throttle cable was the end of the season and again they took my boat back to Nevada to repair from Havasu. Again perfect timing as we were having the Boats of Nevada Tige reunion in Parker at the time

Again the 1st time I was upset but the dealer has always gone above and beyond. In reality very little down time of the boat. In 06 the boat ran solid- no issues.

I love my Tige because of many of the same reason the rest of you do! It is a quality boat fairly priced and incredibly sexy!

When i was buying I looked at the different brands did my reaserch and fell in love with Tige! I couldn't ask for anything more out of my boat (well maybe a bigger built in cooler).

I also love that when we hit the water its a completly different day than it was before we got there. And if something does go wrong (rarely does) it no big deal.

Thanks, I did had to edit my own quote though .

I like the compliements that I get from everyone just driving the thing on the trailer. I also like the gas mileage I get versus some of my friends smaller less powerful boats.

We just ordered our second 22i.
It's ride, handling, fun to drive and excellent seating has really sold us.

Our sales guy Danny at Tige' in Corona makes the whole adventure fun.
Knowlegeable, helpfull in ever angle of the boat and wakeboarding.

People come up and ask us about our Tige' and we always give positive takes, and recomend them to Dan Brubaker in Corona, and he'll put them in something they'll both afford and love.
The whole staff there is good by the way.

We give Malibu, Supra, Natique owners runs in our 22i and they are breathless and astounded how nice the boat is.
Roomy, peppy performance, sick handling that is a reason alone to buy a 22i,, they wish they bought a Tige' rather than a re-graphic'd 25 year old design ski boat.

We ask some why they bought another line other than Tige'?
" we heard bad warranty service from Tige" is their reply.

I've made my peace over that issue, and we hope it's resolved.
Now if I can just make peace with Matt....

Some of the things I love about our Tigé:

We made our decision to buy Tigé based on how well the rental fleet of Tigés stood up at Bass Lake. We talked with the owners of the concession, and they had nothing bad to say about the boats. And you know they had to be tough to hold up to all the pounding they take from both good and bad drivers.

I can't count the number of times I've had people come up and say how much they like the boat, or how awesome it looks, or some other positive comment. I had a guy stop in a gas station when I was filling up before heading to the lake, and he said all he wanted to do was say hello to a fellow Tigé owner, and that my boat was "bitchin'!"

Having a boat gives us opportunities to do something as a family, rather than sitting home doing nothing together. The kids love the water, and even though they don't wakeboard (yet), they love tubing, or just practicing cannonballs off the swim platform in some quiet cove. Seeing the joy on their faces was worth way more than the purchase price of a boat.

And the thing I like most is the sound the engine makes after the warning buzzers go off and it turns over and starts that deep, throaty rumble that says "WOT here I come!"

Mike

What's not to love? After 8 years, it's still an awesome boat. It's reliable, big, has lots of storage, great all around wake, sturdy....

And, after 8 years, only the RZ4's gotten me to think about a new boat. 'nuf said.

That is the most True statement I think anyone will ever read . No matter what site, what object, what anything, there will ALWAYS be more negatives than positives (just my opinion but it seems to be true) in other peoples heads. Theres a forum site for gopeds (USA made Gas scooters that are Very reliable but some just dont realize it after chinas shi* comming here) and there is always people complaining about this and that. My 21V has surprised me so far. I dont know what i was thinking at the time because of people saying oh the wake sucks get a nautique, malibu, MB what ever else is out there ive heard of but I do not regret what so ever of buying this boat. Its just turn the key get on the board, enjoy the great wake! But I can go on and on on that statement. If you know if someone tells you something that is false just pull out the ":bs:" Smiley :D

Thanks for jumping on board this thread guys. It's nice to hear all of those remarks, what isn't surprizing the similarity of what everyone is saying. Just being a boat owner and being on the water sets us apart from many other forms of recreation and hobbies. One of the things that I like is the when your on the water most every one is friendly. You know, as you pass another boat what most always happens? "You wave to each other." (At least here on the E/Coast we do.) Then it gets even tighter with each respective boating group ie wakeboard/inboard boats, fishing boats etc. Granted there are many idots on the water and if they show it too you, then its a pretty good chance they are out of waves from you for the day, but if that kind of kindness was on our streets and highways, what a better place it would be.

Boating is how I recharge MY battery.

I agree with this. Being on my tige, is!

"it's my escape"
"it's my sanctuary"

It is a good way to unwind and try to forget all of the stresses of the :bs: work week. You know, I don't even have to be riding, if I am just floating somewhere and relaxing that is awesome, it is then that I am really relaxed. Some tuneage and beerage and we are goodage!

Kind of like having a beer on the bank at 9:30 am. I have one of those planned for tomorrow morning.

We are still in love with our boat. It runs...no questions and very few problems. The service folks have been great at Tige Watersports in Corona for the very few issues we have had.

We like the room. We like the way the whole package looks. We like the rockin' stereo. We like the ride. We like that our kids like it and want to go to the lake with us... It's a great boat and we are so glad we went with the Tige...
