are 2000 21i and 2001 21v Metcraft towers the same?

as the LONG title says.....are the 2000 21i and 2001 21v Metcrap towers the same? i have not been able to find any solid info on this. either way, would a bimini top from a 2001 21v fit on a 2000 21i?

It looks just like my original tower off of my 2000 23V, but according to the specifications the 21V has a 6 inch wider beam than the 21i. So they look the same but one tower should be 6 inches wider.
