What type of bimini mounts do you have on your bimini? They should either be thumb screws or ball/socket ends with hooks.
I have some pictures on my home PC that I can post tonight. It took me and my dealer a while to figure out too. If you don’t know what you’re doing it will definitely confuse you.

Here are a few pictures of my RZ2 Bimini. I have the Z tower but the mounts should be similar. In the pictures the front of the bimini is loose, because I did not properly secure the front arms and supports. Once secured it looks great.
You can also look at this PDF (http://tigeowners.com/downloads/2007%20Bimini%20Intallation.pdf) for instructions on how to install the bimini on an E tower.
If you have any questions let me know, it is confusing at first but easy once you figure it out.

I just posted a thread a few days ago about needing info. manuals and owners info and what not. This is very helpful. This kind of stuff needs to be included in the owners manual. This is one of the very questions I have with my new 22Ve. Your pics really help. The first time we tried to install in on the day of delivery, it was like 3 monkeys ........... a football. "I'm sure you the get the idea." What a jigsaw puzzle. How about some pics of what it should look like properly stowed. I almost positive I haven't stowed my properly. Because your boat is an RZ2 and mine is the 22Ve will there be that big of a difference?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. :) :) :)

I have a 24Ve with the manufacturer cover. It is very similiar to the setup that Matt has. The only difference that I can see is the bar holding the back of the bimini is slanted up and uprights are holding up the slanted bar. If you have the same one as me, the bar that is holding up the slanted bar is mounted to the tower and carries the bar holding the back of the bimini... Hard to explain.....
My boat is in the shop so I can't take any pictures for you..... Stupid Taps system.... urgh!!!!!!!!!

Scoot18, sorry I missed you thread, otherwise I would have helped. I had to go through the same frustration with my bimini too so I know how it is. I still think one of my bimini arms (the one on the swivel rack) is too long. I have to remove it to stow it and deploy it, it still works fine both ways but I think its just one extra step that can be eliminated. Not a big deal since it doesn’t effect how the bimini is deployed or stowed.
I will post some more pictures of it stowed tonight. It should be similar to the E tower.
Attached are a few more pictures of the RZ2 tower with the thumbscrew mounts in case anyone on here comes across this thread that has this style bimini.

Here is one of my Z tower, although its not in the correct position. The end of the arm should be mounted in the mount with the arrow pointed to it.

Matt; that looks nothing like the way I have mine stowed. Man I must really have it screwed up. I will take some shots this evening to show you what I have done and put them on this thread. I will then try to restow it like you show in your pic. May need some more wisdom and guidance on this one.
Thanks for the info so far!

You have a slighly different style to your bimini. That back part of Matt's RZ2's bimini is different than ours. Now, it also depends upon the tower type also.

It depends on your tower and the style of bimini that you have. Post a picture so we can see what kind you have. Even some of the same year tower/boat models have different biminis.
Oh and chpthril that boat needs some TLC! :)

Check this out, this is what I have fumbled to come up with. We did this on the day of delivery and I haven't had it out again since. But I would like to get familiar with opening it up and stowing it back again. Like to get good at it so I don't waste a lot of time while on the water trying to get it right. I won't look like such a big idiot if I practice in the driveway..... here are a few pics take a look and let me know how bad it is.
Matt, pleaseeeee help.

Ok, I left out some info I have the "E" series tower, 2007 22Ve. The pics in the previous post don't show much of the tower. So here is another pic with a full view of the tower and the bimini.

I have the same tower but the bimini top is not the same as the 2007. So what Matt is saying is soooooo true with this one....

I felt the same way about my bimini, now I can deploy and stow it in a matter of minutes. Once you figure it out it all becomes much faster especially when you know which mounts will help you "hold" it for you while you stow or mount it.
Ok from the pictures I am going to take a guess and say the arm “mount A” needs to be connected to the cross arm mount on your tower “mount B”. Can't tell from your pictures but it looks like there is a mount on the cross arm supports on the tower? (“mount B”). I am not real familiar with the E towers so like I said this is a guess.
Take a look at this PDF, http://tigeowners.com/downloads/2007%20Bimini%20Intallation.pdf Page 5, Figure 8 for an explanation. Although the bimini is a bit different it should have the same mount options.
Let me know if this helps.

Thanks for the info Matt. Hey that link you included doesn't work, says page cant be found. I will try to see if that support I have facing rearward will make it to that other clip on the side bar. I am not sure if it will be long enought to make it with putting something else in a bind.

"Thanks dog," the end result did turn out nice. I really struggled with making the color choices. Changed my mind away from this many times and kept going back. .Glad I stuck with it. I want to do something different from what every body else has, all boat makes included.
Now if I can just get the dag-gumed bimini figured out I will be alright

Matt, thanks for the link. After having time to slow down and really study those instructions and pictures in the link you gave. It all seems to be a little more clear now. That will really help. The next step is to get in the boat and get mine untangled and stowed properly and then open, close, open, close until I get it down to a science.
"Thanks again." Do you have anymore instruction manuals or pdf files that might be helpful to this newbie? Things that you know are high frequency questions?
Or is there a general page where we can browse throught a list of pdf instructional doc's? That would be really nice................
If not add that to the suggestion box.:)

Okay, wasn't what you really wanted but I have found that the documentation for the boat is not well documented. I would say that the engine, accu speed, and installed radio all had some type of manual but they were not as detailed as they should be.
Have a great weekend.... :)

Ok I went to bimini school in my driveway this morning, pdf installation guide printed out and full of confindence that I would lick this. Well all went well and the guide is easy to follow. However earlier in this thread Matt mentioned depending on the model and even then there may still be a few different types. Guess thats what I got or maybe my bimini was made by the cross eyed guy. I was able to install it just as the directions show but the cover in the bag, is in my opinion not high enough. My son is just over 6' and when he stands under it, it touches the top of his head. I really prefer it to be stowed higher like it is in my previous pics. Thats ok not a problem. Where I am having trouble is relocating the forward ball hook to the rearward storage saddle or whatever you call it. That one support bow is like way to wide. I have to pull in really hard to get it inserted into that ball socket. Let me tell you it is a finger pincher!!!! Looking at the pictures in the installation guide it looks as if all of the bows are on top of the main support pole. There is no way mine will stow that way. The storage clip/saddle appears that it needs to be rotated outboard to better match the width of that bow. I can loosen & turn that clip, but the ball socket on the bow that goes into it is rivoted to the bow pole, so you cant adjust it. See attached pic. The purple arrow is pointing to the clip that you can rotate and adjust. The ball socket thats in it, is the one that needs to rotate outboard matching the other adjustment for the bimini to stow in a more nuetral position. The red arrow is pointing to the rod that I chose to not keep installed downward so the bimini would be at a higher position when stowed. Are you getting all of this? Does it make sense? It a nutshell I am curious if my bimini might be a little retarted. Compare figure 11 in the pdf file to my pic of how all the rods look in the stowed position. It seems if mine are all cramed to the side due to having to bend that bow inward to be able to stow it. In figure 11 they all appear to be neatly stacked upward. It is really a struggle to get those ball sockets into the storage clips, cut fingers, scratching & gouging all of the bimini bow poles. I am thinking about possibly trying to bend that bow to make it easier to get in and out of those storage clips. But I am afraid one of the bends will kink, crease and then wont be sturdy, The strange thing is when the top is open everything looks perfect. I would say the bow pole if it was layed just over top the storage points, it would be about 5 to 6 inches wider, before you stress and force it into place.

I have the same issue when I am stowing my bimini. I think its normal and you just have to be carefull that you dont scratch the poles or pinch your fingers.
Also the bimini in the PDF uses the the thumbscrew mounts so it may vary a tad.
I am suprised the rear mount that the red arrow is pointing to doesnt go down on the cross bar support. The bimini should be close to the tower and should have plently of clearance for head room.
Personally I dont think you need to rotate and adjust anything yet. I would see if anyone on here can post pictures of their 07 bimini before you do anything. However, turbonine (RZ4 thread) sent me pictures of his bimini and turns out the dealer installed it backwards.

Yeah that lower support pole when its installed on the cross support keeps the stowed bimini a good ways from the top of th tower. There is enought strap to have it down that low and still strapped across the top of the tower, but at just over 6' clearance, it's just not enough height and it looks kinda goofy........................Thanks for the info.
