I think the amp is a Caliron 500 watt to run the tower speakers. I will have to check. I have another question, does your TAPS drop when you shut your boat off? I have noticed that mine goes to the wakeboard setting when you shut the boat off, that seem odd to me.

I'm not really sure...I'll check next weekend when I got out but from what I can sort of remember I think they stay the way we have them when we shut off the boat...

my taps does the same thing. you have to adjust to plane out when you restart the engine.

Mine too. Its normal. The plate will tilt up when engine is shut off for safety reasons I am sure. That way its not in the down position on the trailer or dry dock.

yeah... thats a feature of TAPS2 (2004 and later).
