When i bought my boat the dealer gave me a cover, made of grey canvas I think, they had it custom fit to the tower, with velcro sides and a buckle clip on the bottom- the cover keeps water out but not dust, so everytime i go out I spend the first 45 min. cleaning all the dust/dirt out...that sucks..
What should I be looking for in terms of a new cover, sharkskin?

One the Fits around the tower and something that blocks UV rays.

Be careful, You want the cover to breath.
If it is too tight, then you will make a green house under it which = MOLD.
Lots of mold and it can happen over night. Not to mention the SMELL that comes with it.

I had tower biminis make me a cover that has buckles both sides for cinching and "booties" sewn in (instead of just a hole) that go around the tower legs and secure with velcro, that really helps keep the dust to a minimum.

Try http://www.rankincovers.com/index.htm they made mine and it has worked very well for me. They should already have a template for your boat since they also make covers for my local tige dealership.
