How about Synthetic Oil?

Is it ok to run synthetic oil in my Tige? I have been reading some really good articles about it and think it's worth the benefits. I notice Mercruiser recommends only 25w-50, Which I can't figure, because that's an odd oil weight. My BMW 328i uses it.

I personaly think synthictic oil is better then regular oil.As for the weight 20/40 would be my choice.Do I know more about oil then Mercruiser? No way Jose
