I see that we have a few from St Louis. I talked with Andrew about a day run up the Ill River to Mel's for a day of showing off and get to know one another and the great food Mel's dishes out. That was last summer, and I think time ran out befor it could happen. What do you think, something you would think of doing?

Yeah I've lost a few friends over the years that way, and many more that are crippled and such. I've been down three times myself in 30+, I may not be so lucky the next time! would that work in like a direct drive(2000 21i) would they do like a locker sac then ther bow sacs
-or-
like some fat sacs for each side of the motor and then the bow sacs
-or-
combine those:bow sac, side sacs, and the locker sack nah that would most likely exceed the weight limit

We built everything at home in Tucson, took it down and wrapped it up, (stored in/on the boat) drove 3 hours to Bartlett Lake, where we assembled everything again in the rain at the ramp and drove around the corner to the reunion. The center mast was 16 feet tall and we used about 500 ft. of rope for the rigging. If we wouldn't have ripped the sails for the Black Pearl effect, we could have sailed to shore from the ramp. Great fun, but no real competition as nobody else persued the pirate theme.

Wannabe,

This is my ballast install thread.

http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2140&highlight=rival+ballast

I ordered bags from Barefoot international. I have one bag for my surf side that is 96 inches long, 24 inches wide, and 12 inches deep, until the portion that fits in the storage compartment where it balloons to 24 inches deep (I think those are the measurements). I think it holds about 1400 pounds. I use a V-Drive side sack on the other side (400 pounds) and a custom U shaped sack up front (who knows? 300+ pounds). I fill the surf sack up just a little and fill the others full and the wakeboarding wake is formidable. I am thinking of putting a valve up front to diver the overflow from the U bag into the walkway for more weight up front (I have the other V-drive sack). My boat likes more weight in the front. I would then have to unload the sack the old fashioned way with the pump plugged in.

Then I start thinking about getting a new boat and who wants to do all of this to my old boat and then start over...so many decisions.

You did all that work with no competition? Man what a drag. Looked really good, and has given me a good idea for our Midnight parade of boats now.

Since there was little competition, we were awarded first place without much discussion. I got a new Hyperlite board and bindings which they said was worth about $600 or $700. Can't wait to try them out.
The sad part was throwing all the masts, sails, and rigging in the dumpster at the lake so we didn't have to haul it home. Still a good time with my son, which is what matters the most.

Great job Tall. I enjoyed reading it again as much as the first time you posted it. This project may be in our future as well.

Tequila, the guy next to me is my youngest son, ya we always give him crap about the pants. When he was about 4yrs old we had a house fire and he was burned pretty bad. He's still quite self conscious about the scars. All in all he's a good sport about it.

Do you get side effects from stress? I might have a cure, PM me.

Tige Dunner, I'm only as old as I act,, just ask my wife. She always saying that I'm the youngest of the boys (I'll be 50 next month).

Sparky, that picture was taken at Prineville Reservoir this past summer. This coming summer our week long trip is at Billy Chinook.

No, they are not all ours, two of them married into the family.

Lovin Powell, It's good to hear from you again! Great picture!! Is that the same picture that was taken on the day we went wakesurfing?

LovinPowell
01-23-2007, 04:09 AM
Yes, that is the end result of the picture day. I'm sure that it came out as good as it did because we did go out wakesurfing earlier in the day. After that day on the water everybody just "glowed". Except for the son-in-laws brothers friend who had 21 stitches in his chin.

On another note, I just bought another board, just like yours, 168 delivered from a guy in Canada. It hasn't come yet, but as soon as it does, we'll be out there breaking it in.

Congrats! Dude, you always find the good deals. Where did you find it -- Ebay?

I would think that finding "a Family" would be the easy part with your set up. Towing your set up could be the tough part.

in some states thats not legal but in missouri it is!

You would think so but towing is the easy part. Its not much different then towing 1 trailer. You just have to remember your as long as a tractor trailer and sometimes you have to go around the block to make a u turn. getting gas can sometimes be interesting but as long as you stop at the truck stops its pretty easy

Race Fan,

I find that reverse tends to be the most difficult task. You have a nice set up!

Thanks Randy,
Backing up can be a little tricky but I try not to get into those situations. The nice part is it takes a few yards in reverse to cross things up but only a few feet in foreward to get it straightened out.

The picture of the wife and I was taken on the river at Parker, AZ last October. We were 'ridin the current'. Great place to go! The picture of the kids was at Canyon Lake in the cove behind the bridge.
