Well the boat is not finally safe and sound in it's new home. Needless to say I'm embarrased to say I own this boat and truck as dirty as it is right now, but.... I'll get it cleaned up asap.
Basically These things.

well that and it took me 40 hours to go what should have been 1400 miles, but got detoured twice, sat on 40 for 8 hours, slept in a wal-mart parking lot, went 20 hours with out food the list goes on, it was just terrible.
I thought I was being smart by waiting two days in OK before attempting this trip, maybe I should have just left right in the beginning of the storm and nothing would have happened.

yeah that is the pad I poured.
Sparky, there was a game? oh yeah there was I turned it off after the 1st quarter. I hate OU when Peterson plays. They play so much better with out him. I hope he goes pro.

Actually that last 2 min and OT were fricking awsome, the only bowl game that even comes close to that much excitement is the Sun Bowl when my beloved Beavers went for two to win in the final second.....but that fake screen and trick hand off to Ian Johnson was a hell of a play

That was about the best damn bowl game I've ever seen. Statue of Liberty, I love it. Being a Nevada fan, it's tough for me to pull for the Broncos, but they were representin' the WAC at the top of the food chain. The WAC has become one of the premier divisions of college sports. Sad to say that my beloved Wolf Pack couldn't pull out the victory over Miami, but they showed they can play with the big dogs. Our B-Ball team put a whoopin on Gonzaga the other day though, even with Big Nick Fazekas fouling out. Go Pack!

Man, you guys are right. The "secondary" conferences are really showing up now. 5 years ago Boise v OU would have been a joke.
I love college football, and the more good teams are out there, the better the season is.
I still root for the Independents though....Go Irish!!!

yeah it was a good game, just pisses me off when my team plays so crappy! They fumble and 3 interceptions, give me a break. I was so pissed, granted the lack of sleep probably didn't help me any, but i was just furious!! I just liked my team so much better without peterson. They played so good after he broke his collar bone. I just hope he goes pro and leaves OU, so stoops can regroup and try and do something with all of his tallent he has.

Dom, did you check your servo motor for the perfect pass?
Domsz06
01-02-2007, 09:09 PM
no I have to clean the cover so I can take it off. I'll check it soon though. I have also heard they need a relay in them to make it work better, least that's what perfect pass said.
Boise has become an awesome team. Boise is a perfect example why I would love to see a National playoff and get rid of the fixed BCS bowl system. They went 13-0. It will be difficult for a team like Boise to ever get ranked higher than they are now.
Meanwhile back to the thread, sorry that your road trip was so miserable, normal road trips can be taxing. Glad that you made it safe.

I'm glad that my team did loose, due to the fact that it will add fuel to the fire for getting a play off system. I'm a firm believer in it as well. I just wish we had played better. I Mean wtih 4 turn overs you can't expect to win anything!

I guess I'm lucky in that my wife is a HUGE football fan. She knows way more than I do. We watch all the games together.
I feel ya on the bad trips, when I picked my boat up I had to drive to Atlanta from Arkansas and when I was driving back I had a trailer tire blow out on the freeway. So I had to unhook from the boat and drive to the next exit where luckily there was an RV repair shop where I was able to buy new tire/rims. I was afraid when I asked how much he was going to say "How much you got".

Now that's funny
My first trip with the in-laws before I was married was to a bowl game in San Diego. BYU got slaughtered by Texax A&M and dislocated Ty Detmer's shoulder. I was so pissed, some guy behind me was mouthing off during the whole game   and I...uh....errr. got in a little scuffle:o . Some of my brother-in-laws jumped in on it as well. It wasn't a huge deal and we still got married :) we still joke about, "a family that fights together stays together". The only other time I got so wound up was when the Jazz and the Bulls played for the championship two consecutive years....Arrrggghhhh:mad: My kids know not to be around Dad when he is watching sports.

The wife is a staunch 49er's fan as i am (no freakin' comments;). Sometimes i don't know who yells louder, her or i!
Speaking of meeting players, back in '95 it turned out my neighbor's son played in college with Merton Hanks (now an NFL official) a first string DB for the Super Bowl XXIX winning 49er's. She invited him out to Modesto for a block party and BBQ we were having and damned if he didn't show up with his family and hang all day with us! Let me tell ya if you've never seen a superbowl ring up close you have no idea what your missing!

I am a big 49er's fan, mainly because of Steve Young. Jason Buck lives in our area and I have seen his super bowl ring, they are pretty impressive.

That's awesome! I sold Jim McMahon a pair of boots when I worked in a shoe store during college....not quite the same as playing catch:rolleyes:
But Chad Lewis' (Philadelphia Eagles) family used to live in the same neighborhood as I did and would talk with him a few times. He's a cool guy.

I've been a Niners fan as long as i can remember. Joe Montana and Steve Young were both awesome QB's. <sigh> Unfortunately those days have passed but the *new* young team looks promising. Watch Alex Smith 'cause i think he's gonna be real good in few seasons if he can keep it together.
