with how decent the wether was today in utah me and a few freinds decided to go out this morning. headed out after school, and it was great.
it was freezing though. water was 49, and the sun was almost down when we were launching. the air was 55. we did dock starts so it wasnt to bad until you fell. and once you fell you couldnt feel your hands enough to hold on. it was good motivation not to fall. it was fun and worth the beutifull water.
wing nut and moki have you guys been out lately?
I went out last weekend on Utah Lake just on a test drive with the guy who bought my four winns. It was nice and I was kicking myself for not bringing a board, then I stuck my hand in the water and didn't feel so bad. It was cooooold. I am going to get a dry suit so I can extend my season. Probably not a bad idea to get some scuba gloves to go with it.

It's been two weeks for me and it was tooo cold then. I am looking forward to the reunion this week end and that will be it for me until spring. Today was tempting, but I was at the cabin trying to get a couple things wrapped up for winter, I think it will be here this week end, at least in the mountains.

yah we had my freinds dry suit. it was so cold there's no way you could have done it without one. once your hands touched the water they just tensed up and hurt.

I bought some dry suit gloves that I use for days like that and they work great. They are more or less modified dishwashing gloves but keep your hands warm.

The wife and kids went to her folks' house last weekend, and I had the house to myself. Weather was supposed to be in the 70's, and I haven't winterized the boat yet. Took it to Camanche, got there around 11am, launched by myself, and basically had the lake to myself save for a couple bass boats trolling around. Found a nice cove, anchored, had a cool beverage, watched the hawks flying around overhead before falling asleep for a short nap. Drove around for a while, trailered by myself and headed home around 4pm. Best solitary day on the water I could ask for. Water was definitely cooler than during the summer. But still...out on the Tige'...doesn't get better.

Before going to Texas for a week to work I took the boat out for a good ride. The water temp in Bakersfield California was 68. I just sliped on the two mill wet suit cause that is cold for us and had a great time. The only ones on the lake were two jet skis in the restricted area and some fisherman. The water was great until the wind started to kick up then it was just barley breaking the glass. But it was great. The wife says the air temp is dropping now though so we will see if it is time to put is away until new years day. We have to start the new year behind the boat. And there is know one at the lake that day so it is all ours. Best time to go. Gotta love California. You can snow board and wake board or water ski all in the same day.

Well, it could have been better if the whole family went with me, but since they had other plans, I made do!
