Ride Difference between the pre '02 21i and post '02

Just curious does anyone know how well each handles choppy conditions. I am considering a purchase and have found a good deal on a 2001 21i. The mrs. would prefer to have a smooth as ride as possible in an inboard. Thanks in advance for responses.

Had a 98 21i, flat bottom rough ride, low sides look out for those big waves, did not handle choppy rough water. Bought an 02 21i nice dry ride, great wakes , great handling, good rough water manners. Without question the post 02 is the better all round boat
