The boat was de-winterized today and the season for me is about to start...:D :D :D ...If anyone knows the temperature of lake lewisville or where I can find it without having to go up there it'd help! When other owners who ride on Texas lakes wanna meet up one of these next weekends for the start of the season PM me or post to this!

i didn't think there was much anything to de-winterizing and winterizing other than pulling and replacing the blue plugs. Please let me know what else i need to be doing. I don't have to worry about gas going bad though cause i go year round so the gas never stays stagnent in the boat always having to re-fuel. let me know
thanks

Ok Matt that sounds awesome! And banks, I dont do the de-winterizing, the dealership does it for our boat so I wouldn't know anything about it but any local Tige or boat dealer in general would...

I was at lake arlington 2 weeks ago and the water was 62. I am guessing it should be around 70 this weekend. We will be going to the brazos tomorrow with my brother in law and his malibu.

De winterizing depends on how you winterized it. If you winterized it by putting antifreeze in your coolant track, then you have to drain that out. At first I just put the biodegradable stuff in mine, and when I took it out in december, i just unloaded the boat, started it up and was good to go. After that I just pulled all the blue plugs, and drain plugs and let it drain all the time. Since I use mine year round, I just keep the cover on it with two electrical heaters on it that are set at 40 degrees. They kick on when it gets colder then that and keep the engine at 65 degrees. So that way I'm good to go when ever I want. Also with the heaters and the cover on it keeps the whole boat well above freezing so no need to really winterize it. I also have my boat in a storage unit.
