Now I feel famous. My dealer at boats of Nevada got me this one after I lost my white plastic one. the picture is not great, but I think the chrome looks very sweet.

I honestly don't remember how much it was. I think it looks great with the powder coated silver tower.

I've never noticed any horn covers. Mine just blows under the stearing wheel towards my feet. I always thought that was wierd but I didn't know anything different. Is that normal for a 2002 21v?

I believe this was changed in the middle of the 2003 production run. I have a 2003 22v that interestingly has the horn under the dash unhooked and then the newer horn on the side that functions. So, I guess I got two for the price of one!

speaking of horns- has anyone upgraded theirs? Mine sounds too much like a 1960's vespa. I'm thinkin' General-Lee style... three horns on the tower, playin' dixie.

Yeah... I'm Texan.

I haven't changed my horn, but we have a little bull horn thing that plays dixie and a couple of other tunes. Its also great for yelling words of....um encouragement, yeah thats right, to our riders.

I tried to find a place on the web to buy the cover last night with no luck. Might have to call one of Marinco's distributors listed on their web site.

what about a block-off plate? I'm thinking of putting some decent (I mean, 18-wheeler style) horns on the tower and blocking off the factory horn spot.

I've got my subs in that compartment, and it just buzzes when the subs hit... also whenever I hit the horn, I feel like I'm in some cheezy 60s italian movie on a vespa- and have to fight the urge to say "ciao!"
(Any of you that have seen Eddie Izzard's stand up should know what I'm talking about)

What's next, smoke-stack style exhaust as part of your tower? :D

mmm no, but I've been toying with the idea of a cummins mercruiser diesel-powered conversion.

You'll need an FAE if you do this because it's gonna be loud.

I'm thinking about FAE anyways- since I'm doing a lot of surfing lately.

I'd call the guy (Larry Mann). His shop is off Hwy 71 near the Pedernales river...I bet he'd even put it on for you if you brought your boat by his shop :)

that'd be cool- I'll probably be doing that this summer... the boat resides at medina (near san antonio) but I'm working in austin these days. Next time I have it up here, I'll give him a shout!

I'm sure our riders think so, we usually don't have anything nice to say!

All in good fun, they get to yell at me as well.
