Looking at a new I Switch. I like to ski and it seems that Tige has been geared to the wakeboard crowd. It looks to me that the i Switch is geared towards the skier and I was wondering if this is a new hull design or not?? All input would be greatly appreciated as I am new to inboards and can not wait to get rid of my I/O.
Does anyone have any first hand experience behind this boat? Is it a better ski or wakeboard boat? It would be good to hear from some
i switch owners.

I have the 03 20i. I do both slalom and wakeboard. Love my boat.
The taps lets you change the wake to your needs. Have your local dealer take you for a run. I think the boats sell themselves once you have been on the lake in one.

I have the 22I riders and due both Ski and wakeboard. With the use of the Taps system I can use my boat for both and have not problems with a small wake for sking to a larger wake for boarding. Very versatile boat for both sports.

to yellw20 and forjar thank you for your responses. I am going for a demo ride in TX next week since in NH we still have lots of snow and ice!!!!!!!!! But I guess to clarify my question is the Switch I the same hull as your I's and the differences in $$ is for the interiors and bells and whistles as the Switch I is pretty basic and plain

I love my 03 ... maybe some owners bias, but I like the interior of the 03's better than the 04's. although I do like the gull-wing back hatch on the 04's as opposed to 1 long hatch on my 03. This is just my personal preferance. I would suggest you get at least one option which is the perfect pass....I put it in my boat and sooooo glad I did. I think hull shapes are the same, but I think they did change the hull make-up ie materials used. See if the dealer has any 03's left and ride them both. It is going to be your boat and your preferences are the one's that matter.

I would have to agree with yllw20 that a must option is the perfect pass. I do believe that the hulls are the same, but one major difference would be that the Switch I is only 20' and the 21 I is 21' 4". So I would have to also say that the difference in pricing would be because of the extra length, but also the bells and whistles.

The I switch has the new convex v hull and it is set up more for slalom wakes. Slalom performance is next to none.

Harvey,
Thanks for the reply. That is actually what I was looking to hear. Now I will try one and find out for myself. If it's all good I will be a new Tige owner on the 21st.

I thought the convex v hull was standard on the switch,i and v drive models starting 03.Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

THE HULL ON THE SWITCH I IS THE SAME AS BOTH THE SWITCH V AND 20V. SWITCH V AND 20V ARE THE SAME BOAT, JUST THAT THE 20V IS TRIMMED OUT MORE. = MORE $

and of course the V is i V-drive and the I is a direct drive, so there will be variations in the hull to take the drivetrain into account.
