What’s the best way to protect the bow when in a slip?

The front most tip of my boat lines up perfectly with the non cushioned portion of each and EVERY slip in Havasu and Parker!:mad:

What’s a trick to keep it from getting battered?

Does some one make a slip over nose pad or bumper?

How do you tie down you boat?

Do you use the U bolt on the front of the boat that attaches it to the trailer or the side pop-up cleats to tie down to the side of the dock??

Cleats.

And using cleats the boat almost always has the bow tip rub rail rubbing up against the dock.

Next time try looping the ropes around the U bolt in front and come back to the side dock cleat this will pull the boat back in the slip and won’t let the boat move forward to hit the dock that is what we do and we don't have any problems.

We tie the front boat cleats to the rear dock cleats 1st. This pulls the boat back from the front of the slip. Then we tie the rear boat cleats to the front dock cleats. This keeps the boat centered. In high traffic we also go thru the bow loop to the side dock cleats. We sometimes tie the transom loops to the side cleats to keep the boat centered in the slip

looks like another suggestion for tige to put a cleat up front. I do what G-Money does. Frustrating. Hope they listen at TIGE!

G-Man, We have been offering a bow cleat for a number of years now. A majority of our customers do not order this option however it is available. This is the reason why Tige does not have this as a standard item. If you would like to have a bow cleat installed. Your dealership can assist in this process.

I remembered this from a while back. TeamAllen posted a cool picture of how to tie off the boat to keep it away from the dock. We pretty much do the same thing.

Just to back up Andrew, my '01 has a pop-up bow cleat.
