Ok, anyone want to enlighten me as to where this black peice of pipe (about the thickness of my Metcraft tower) goes? It's black, about 24 inches long and has a cap on one end that is scooped as if it would be for supporting the tower when it's lowered? I bought my 21i used from a non Tige dealer. I assume it has something to do with the tower, but who knows? I'm gonna be really embarrassed if its something else.

It goes on the floor in front of the back seat. The tower when folded down rests on this support. If it is not there the tower goes down too far and will crack the gel coat where the tower mounts to the boat. I know this from experience

It's too short. Or maybe my tower was mounted too far forward. My tower when lowered aft rest on the motor cover. Do I put it in the center cup holder on the engine cover? I'm confused. I'd take a pic if my digital camera was here. What do you think?

They used to put that pole in some of the new boats and we could not figure it out either.

Another Tige mystery......
We find it works good at holding the bat-winged storage doors on the stern open so the carpet dries. Probablly good for sliding a beer to your buddy when your too lazy to leave the driver seat. Common anyone else wanna try?

Mine was a 2002 20V. No engine cover in the middle of the boat. Sorry

We only received them on the 20V's, fit right in the middle of the back seat.

Thanks Karen.
Maybe the support accidentiy got put in my boat at the originating dealer (the notorious NC one.....) and some poor 20v owner is wondering where his is. Wouldn't surprise me a bit!
