I am looking for ride snowboard bindings for a backcountry splitboard build. I actually just need the straps. If anyone has some used stuff in the Large range hit me up. Looking for cheap:)

do they have to be ride straps? I might have some older Burton straps laying around. I use the sparks on my splits they are nice but not cheap. Lol

I took old Gnu bindings and rebuilt them and welded them to voile plates, I also cut out the plates to save on weight. I am coping a guy named rughty, he has been helping with the design. I love to tinker!! The idea is to have stronger, lighter, cheaper then the sparks. The only issue is the gnu bindings that my buddy gave me have shot straps. So I need to figure something out, also they are very heavy compared to the newer style.

I have some Burton Custom Freestyle ones in size XL. Would those work? They are white. If you are interested, I will find them when I get home tonight and send you some pictures.

Sure any straps may work as long as they have the round holes to attach. Email me a picture.

I like your idea on those with a stiffer and thinner base plate. Have you thought about cutting out the middle of the base plates and frenching in the vollie plates to make them fit closer to the top of the board? I will look in my shed this weekend to see if I still have any old straps left on anything.

That's what the guy rughty does, and he is an amazing welder. He charges like 120 for the retro fit. I guess I didn't care about the 1/8-1/16 of an inch. This way was just way easier. They should work great though.

sorry Duffy but it looks like I must have used or given away the pair of bindings I thought I still had for parts. Hows your snow conditions up there? Down here in Tahoe is sucks... looks like fall still. Nothing but man made snow around here:(
