I heard that the 2004's come with a push button starter....but in the photos I have seen key holes?

If it's anything like cars, you still have to turn the boat "on" and then you use the button to push start. That way if you have a key, you can still have the accessory position.

my 2004 has regular key starting. I don't remember seeing push-button as an option.

The switch series has the push button start. You have to turn the key in the on position and then push the start button.
