I'm 230 lbs. and 6'5". The largest wakeboard I can find is a 144. I've spent two weekends trying to get used to it, but it still seems too small. Any help from other big guys out there? I'd buy a custom board, but I haven't found anyone that makes them.

I weigh 225 pounds. I think you'll be fine with most boards that are long. You may have to go just a little faster, if you feel you are sinking. I only go 21.5MPH and feel it is just fine for me.

If you are just getting started, I find that a lot of guys (especially big guys) tend to lean way too far back on the board. Your weight should be pretty even on both feet.

I am 6'2 and 270#. I have a Liquid Force Rhythm 147. I am just learning, my speed is between 18 and 20. The board is perfect for me. I tried a 143 but it seemed to short. You can sometimes find them listed on Ebay

A 144 board seems to be plenty of size for you. I dont think an extra inch or two will make a noticeable difference. I ride a 143 and I am 6'1 210. What speed are you riding at? Try to demo a board before you buy one if your local shop allows it.
