Congtatulations on the new Tige! I'm sorry it has been so much work for you. It must have been used hard. I hope you new the scope of work before you purchased it.

You are probably low on fluid for the taps pump. I don't know where the pump with resevoir are located on your boat, but mine is located behind the passenger seat. It takes transmission fluid. Check for leaks around the actuator. The gauge probably doesn't move because the plate is not moving due to lack of fluid.

I'm sure someone @ Tige' can tell you the model of the boat from the hull#. I think the last 2 #s are the year.

i got the boat cheaper because of the known problums, thanks for the info and the welcome, i belive that my taps pump is rigdt next the drivers feet, it like a 4x5" box, ill check it out and see where to put the fluid, also where could i buy a new fiberglass part?

I'm glad to hear your price of your new boat reflrcted the work needed, and you didn't just find out, after the fact. Here is a previous thread describing how to Service TAPS (http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1200).

Try your local dealer for the fiberglass replacement part. They can probably order one for you.

Yes, that is it. Nice picture. The resevoir is the white section at the bottom. Remove the screws that hold the carpeted cover first to give you accessto the pump. The phillips screws are located on the base flange, mine has three. Then, I think, there is one phillips screw holding that charcoal plastic cover on, in the center. I can't remember how the plug is, but it needs a small funnel to add the fluid. I think the rest is covered in the thread, that I posted the link for, earlier.

By looking at the picture you have enough fluid in the pump. Check the hose and see if it is pinched or kinked.
