I have just purchased a 97 PRE 200WT with a manual TAPS trim, I am considering upgrading to a Hydraulic TAPS as fitted to 20CI, just wanted know whether anyone has done this whether this made a real difference?

Yes, I have personally done this on well over 70 tige's. There are a few things to consider. You will have to use the original taps system (Bennet) due to the center swimstep bracket and placement of the rams (height from bottom of hull). Your boat has "hook" designed into the hull and if the rams are mounted too low it can cause problems with the wake and performance while in the slalmon position. Also it will cost at least $1000.

Thanks for information, but did it make a real improvement on the wake size and shape. I have seen all pros and cons on new craft, but wondered whether this also applies to older skis?
