I just bought a 21V Fox racing Edition and I love the boat but i am trying to keep it dry after we take it out so that it will last longer and there will be less problems. I noticed there is only a drain plug in the back of the boat not in the middle, unless i have not located it yet. and this is a problem i cannot get all the water out of the hull. I want it to be dry does anyone have this problem and found a way to solve it. at this point the only thing i could do it get the water to go to the back of the boat it will drain some but not all and then i would have to take a towel and reach down behind the engine and get the water out.

any suggestions

There was a previous thread about drain plugs and I'll quote Original Wing Nut from that post.

"Pull the plug on the ramp."

"I always pull the plug on my vdrive a couple of feet out of the water. I always pull just out of the water and walk all the way around, look things over, pull the plug, then pull all the way to the top of the ramp."

There should be another plug you can pull from the inside in front of the engine (below the V Drive). It's harder to get to than the one in the back, but it is at the lowest part of the bilge.

I don't think most V-drives have a second drain plug. Someone correct me if I am wrong. Most Direct Drives do.

Up until md 2001 they had one by the end of the v-drive.
