that is normal. but i'll educate you real quick, it is actually the v-drive oil pressure light. if the pressure is belowe 2.5 psi the light will come on. it will usually turn off around 1500-1700 rpm in gear. the v-drive is not turning will in neutral.
Thank you.... is there a fix?

It is normal ... if it were off, then it wouldn't be working correctly. It is turned on by low oil preassure when you are in neutral. I.E. nothing is turning, including the oil pump. If it is on while you are moving above 1500 - 1700 RPM, then you have a problem.

So.....if the light is staying on past that RPM...does the V Drive need oil??? If so how do you add?
Could be that the pressure switch has gone out. To check the oil level on the v-drive you will need to look for the dip stick and check the reading when the engine is warm.

Mine started doing this just yesterday... when I initially accelerate, it goes out. Then about 10-15 seconds later it comes back on again. I checked the fluid in the v-drive and the transmission and they both seem to be at the correct level. Any ideas:confused:

Where do you check the V drive oil?? I have only checked the tranny. Does the V drive use trans fluid too???
It is the big unit that is hooked to the end of transmission. It will have a dip stick with the end the size of a quarter.
