Why are they putting the old towers on th 05's?

Nice Ride. I was the first in that boat and was going to buy it, but then my wife said go with black like the 20V we sold.

thanks guys! we did get it from vegas. it is a very nice boat. the tower is ok. it is my first, so i really dont know that much. i really dont care for it very much. the board racks are very hard to get to, and the whole thing seems too wobbly. it does not seem very sturdy. on my next tige, i will upgrade the tower a little.

I noticed the same thing when I was shopping, I ordered mine without and bought a monster tower, which I think looks great on the boat

Once again I ask the question from 5 post's back, Why is that an older tower on a '05? Why is it not a '05 tower?

they had that boat in stock with that tower on it. i think they still are putting that tower on boats. they have several of those towers in stock, and on other boats in the show room her in las vegas.

The Dealers can put whatever tower they want on the boats. Some dealers use TIGE towers, some Samson, Metcraft, Phat Budde etc. The dealer in Vegas deals with Metcraft and Samson.

That's definitely a Metcraft Tower.

I heard that the Vegas dealer bought a dozen or so of the new Metcraft Evolution towers. Obviously you haven't seen them yet. They are incredibly solid. There are no rattles, no noises, no wobbles, and the racks are much easier to get to. No to mention that they look great.

The problem is that Metcraft is taking forever to get these towers into production and thus getting them to market. They'd be making a killing if they had them out, and they wouldn't have you wishing for a better tower.

I bought my boat and I waited months for the Evolution Tower. All I can say is that I'm glad I did.

I saw the Evolution tower on a Boat in Vegas. It looked great I was going to order a boat and put the Samson Razor tower on it. Dealer in Vegas gave me a great deal on an in stock boat with the regular Metcraft. My 02 Tige had a Metcraft which appears to be more sturdy than the 05. I love my 05 24V but the tower is a little disapointing. I will most likely upgrade the tower in a few years as overall I am happy. The tower is definately taller than my 02 tower. The 02 tower had the board racks on the top which were easier to get to than the 05 racks on the upper sides. I will most likely get some monster racks for the side. to tide me over

i think i have the same boat as xpjim. i am pretty sure yours was the black one in the back part of the warehouse when i bought mine. they still had to put a tower on it when i saw it. i am also dissapointed in the metcraft tower. it is so wobbly. it is very tall which i like. that way you can fit the tower speakers, and bimini, and still be able to stand tall under it. does anyone know if the holes that attach the tower to the boat match all towers? can i just take that tower off and put a different one on? without drilling new holes?

My boat already had the tower on it. If it didnt I would have went with a diferrent tower. I went in to buy the boat you bought and my wife changed her mind about color. I believe my boat is the one in Matts website. It was one of the 1st 24V as the MSO had a build date of July 04. Your boat had a little more attention to detail than mine. I will have Matt take care of some of the little issues when I go to vegas either this weekend or next. I di not remember my old tower being as wobbly as this one.

I do not think the biminis would work on other towers as they all have there own bimini styles. Might work with some modification
