How to backflush?

2001 350 Mag MPI ski motor. Anyone have tips on back flushing?
Which hoses come off and where is this trans cooler? Have concerns of older pieces of empeller somewhere down the line of the cooling system.

Pull the vertical hose going into the thermostat housing at the front of the motor (port side for inboards and stbd side for v-drive), then pull the hose off the raw water pump going to the trans cooler from the raw water pump. Put your mouth on the hose you pulled off the thermostat and blow or use a garden hose. If there're any pieces in the cooler, they'll end up very quickly in the bilge. Makes for good times if you can have your friend hold the other hose up to their face to "look for impeller pieces" as they come out. Good luck.
