View Full Version : DOES YOUR WAKE ROLL, I CAN HELP YOU FIX IT ON PRE 04' TIGE'S

IF ANY OF YOU HAVE A 2003 OR OLDER TIGE I CAN HELP YOU FIX THE BOAT TO MAKE THE WAKE STOP ROLLING AND HAVE A PERFECT WAKE NO MATTER HOW MUCH WEIGHT YOU ADD TO THE BOAT. I DID IT TO MINE AND NOW I CAN RUN 2000 + POUNDS AND THE WAKE NEVER ROLLS AND COMES UP OVER MY NEES BY FAR.

SOME OF THE 2003 HAVE THE NEW HULL, WHAT MODEL DO YOU HAVE... THESE PROCESS TAKES THE SPRAY POCKETS OUT OF THE HULL, 2003-2004 IS WHEN TIGE MADE THE CHANGES SOME 2003 HAVE THE NEW HULL ALL 2004 HAVE THE NEW HULL

odd... I've heard of people doing this to pre-2003's, but every Tigé I've seen after 2002 doesnt have spray pockets. Can we get someone from the factory to confirm?

I HAVE A 2002 21V FOX AND I HAD THE SPRAY POCKETS UNTIL I TOOK THEM OUT

I would imagine filling in the spray pockets/modifying the hull would pretty much void the warranty...

Warranty is over? Maybe for you now that you altered the hull. Even the boats with spray pockets had lifetime warranties on the hull...

Just a note on spray pockets. I have a 98 Tige Pre2200V and it does not have spray pockets and never had them. Not all years and makes had the spray pockets on them. Just wanted to point that out.

What are "spray pockets" exactly...and what was their original (design)intention? Also how do they affect the wake?

THE ORGINAL DESIGN FOR THIS WAS AT HIGER SPEEDS THE WAKE WOULD ROLL OVER FOR SKIING. BUT WHO SKIS ANYMORE REALLY . NOW MY WAKE IS TWICE AS BIG EVEN WITH OUT WEIGHT. AND WHEN WEIGHTED DOWN AT ABOUT 1800 POUNDS ITS ONE OF THE BIGGEST WAKE I HAVE EVER BEEN BEHIND. AND EVERONE THAT RIDES ON IT AGREES. ITS ALOT MORE RAMPY NOW TOO. ERICK RUCK ONE OF TIGE'S TEAM MEMBERS WAS ACTUALLY THE ONE WHO TOLD ME ABOUT THIS PROGRESS. THAT IS WHY THEY CHANGED THE 2004 BOATS HULLS.

I'am still a Salom skier at heart. I do own a couple a wakeboards that I play with, But first and foremost I go out to Salom ski. I get up at 5am so that I can be on the lake by 7am when the water is still smooth and leave about the time that the wakeboarders show up.

I would guess the the bond between the old and the new wouldn't last. Seems like it would start to crack at some point. I have an 2001 23V and I am very interested but I would like to see your boat after a hundred hours of use.
