I can't figure out what the problem is. I have a Stock JVC deck from a 2000 21i RE. It only has one set of RCA's, but I have it split into 2 for both my sub and the tower speakers. For some reason, everytime I turn the power on the deck power will go in and out. It will seriously blink and make weird popping noises into the speakers. It will work fine if I have the tower speakers disconnected. Please someone who knows a little more about electronics let me know what the deal is.

Thanks so much, ADAM

I think I have the same deck as you. My new amp that I run my tower speakers off of has a set of pre outs on it so that i can route my internally powered sub off of those. You might check your amp to see if it has that feature.

I just checked out your gallery and noticed something disturbing. Your board racks are directly over you speakers. It looks like any water that runs off your boards would drop right onto your speaker connections. I'm no expert but that can't be good.

Do you seriously think that the board racks being above the speakers has something to do with it? I plan on covering the wires this weekend. I just think that maybe the deck can't handle two sets of rca's going to it. I have a 2 channel amp and a mono amp. I don;t think that I have the same feature as you do. Tell me what you think.

The manual for my amp says what ever you do, don't cross the speaker wires. It will blow the power source in the amp. If there is water dripping oven the connections you are basically bridging the two. By this reasoning it could be an amp problem. I could also be full of crap. Anything is possible. Just trying to shoot you some senarios that had yet to occure to you. I HATE ELECTRICAL ISSUES

Thanks, I'm getting really sick of this Problem. I think that I'm going to take it in and have someone look at it. Thanks, Adam
