hi all

im a proud new to tige's owner 2003 20v tige

just got a few questions....

just wondering what temp your boats are sitting on as i think my boat may be overheating as it fluxuates between 175 and about 200
(it seems abit high and seems to fluxuate abit)
is this normal?

is there a difference in temperature for when you flush out on trailer and actully in the water?

also does anyone know what the overheating could be from (like is there a common problem)

any help or thoughts or sugestions would be much appreciated

kind regards Jacob

Mine sits at the lower end of your numbers. have you checked to see if you have any blocks (broken impeller pieces or lake junk) in your lines?

If I recall correctly, the Tstat on that motor opens at 175. Im not 100% sure. It will typically show hotter temps when you come off plane, because the engine is still hot from running high rpms and its getting less water at the low rpms.

It would be a good idea to check your impeller and check a few hoses to check for blockages. Unfortuantely this is a royal PITA on this engine, and especially on your boat.

I have a marine power 5.7L it runs around 140.
I never run my engine above 1,000 rpms while on a fake lake. I was told to run the engine only at an ideal while on a fake lake (trailer). I was also told never run the engine without water, as this will damage the pickup impeller.
