To make a long story short I need to sell my 2007 20V as soon as possible. It is in excellent shape with less than 50 hours in total.
Here is link that I posted a few months ago.http://www.tigeowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=8880&highlight=Candy+corn+boat+sale

I am looking for advice regarding the best places to put an add.
Below are ones that come to mind. Input to any others would be appreciated.
craigslist
onlyinboards
iboats.com (tige section)
boattrader.com

Sorry you have to let her go, but it should be a good time of year to put on the market. I think you hit the main places to advertise....on CL put it in several locations in a 100 mile proximity to where you live. Good Luck!

We have used boattrader for 10 or 15 years now.I posted a trade-in 07 22ve Tige and got replies within a day.We are suppose to have money from someone in Nashville on Monday. Of course you have to be competitive in price or you won't get any replies.

Sorry to hear you are selling MP, I scoured the internet while searching for my boat and found Boat Trader to have the most consumer friendly site and ended up purchasing through a dealer on Boat Trader:02:
Good Luck

What about that other person that was asking about it on the forum? Isn't he/she still interested? Seemed to be a little excited about it also. :02:

Good Luck with the sell. I would love unload mine and upgrade to something newer but I also will not give it away. So I will just keep waiting. Some day the age of the boat and value will make sense to sell.

Because I was originally not going to sell until after July 17th they decided to order a new boat. They went to the local Malibu dealer since Tige has no dealer nearby. That also factored into his decision.:(
I have put her on Craiglist and onlyinboards. A friend of my sister owns a Marina off the Lake in Indiana and I am thinking of a consignment sale depending on the commission or fee.
Depending on if I get any bites on Craigslist or onlyinboards I may place a larger add on onlyinboards and also put an add either in iboats or boattrader. I am leaning to iboats because it is linked into some of the boat test articles and it is easy to search by manufacturer.
I intentionally put my asking price high based on numerous searches on other boats which where running just below my number or just above. We shall see.

Probably not...Isn't a boat just a continually depreciating asset...until it is about 10 years old I would say.
Sorry to hear the boat must go...Good luck MP. I think the price has to be right, or you are in for a rough ride. Good to hear you could put her up for less than some others are asking.
Mine sold because my dealer referred someone to me who was not quite ready to put out enough for a new boat.
I found my current boat on Boattrader.

It looks like Boattrader may be the way to go! It is $55 for a 4 week add but allows a few pictures. Regarding prices they seem to be all over the board. I have room to adjust and some time to sell but pre-season is when they move around here with 4 month season. I have had a couple of hits on Sunday so I will have some patience and see what happens and where I go based on week 1 and 2 results.

I had better luck with onlyinboards. boattrader only got me a ton of nigerian scammers when I was trying to sell my 24Ve.

I've never sold a boat, but I've had great luck with Craigslist on buying and selling trucks. Make sure you upload LARGE pictures though from Photobucket or other sites. With the current market, there are people that want boats, but they are few and want the very best deal. I've found if I want to sell something quick I price it quite low. Sometimes its better just to sell if for a few grand less to the very first person that contacts you.
