After a short 2.5 yr. run, Tennessee Tige is out of business. Textron Financial has decided to get out of the Marine business and that leaves us with no flooring options. We appreciate all who have supported us and cherish the many friendships that we've made. Closing the doors here gives me the opportunity to tell everyone exactly how I feel about Tige without the political smoke screen, cool aid, goggles or whatever you want to call it. Mark Gibbs has been the best rep that I could ever have work for me. Sure he works for Tige, but I always felt he had my best interest at heart. From Rick,Ben,Tony,Lee and even Charlie, everyone at the Tige factory has been more than a pleasure to work with. That leaves one name to mention and that is Harvey Smith. This is really the only name that most TO's will hear. When we ever had a CS problem/issue Harvey always sided with the owner, even when it pissed me off and I didn't think he should, he did. So when you see me on hear argue because some 2-3 poster is bashing Tige maybe you can understand my passion. Trust me, even though I may agree with you for the sake of CS,the customer is not always right.
I am now free to go out and buy any inboard that I like and I guarantee if you see me on the water it'll be in a Tige.
Thanks for your support.

Never met you or done any business with you, but sorry to hear the bad news nonetheless!

I think what speaks volume is how you feel about Tige as a company! Hope you stick around the forum.

Billy,

Your advice over the past few years has been invaluable to me. We need a good inboard dealer here in Little Rock. The only good one we have is the Mastercraft dealer. Make the short move over here it's only 5 hours away!

Billy, this really is sad news. I hope that things turn out for you in the long run. Please keep in touch with everyone thru this forum.

Losing these good dealers is a loss for Tige, for the owners served by them, and for the boating community. I've always felt that the dealer can be as big a factor in the ownership experience as the manufacturer. A year ago when I wanted to replace my Tige the local dealer here closed his doors. I would consider several makes, but only one dealer left in AZ that I would trust. So that was the reason I went with a new Nautique 210. It wasn't easy after owning 2 Tiges and even helping out at boat shows for the last 5 years. Overcoming strong loyalty after getting to know the people behind the Tige name like Charlie, Ben and Tony sure is hard. We have lost local representation for Supra, Malibu, Ski Centurian, Calibria, Sanger and probably others. And there have been a lot of smaller suppliers, vendors, and parts manufacturers that have dropped out. None of this is good for us or the industry.

If you guys haven't contacted Billy yet about these sales he has on gear, you should. Just ordered a pair of 2009 LF watson LTD FLY close toe bindings for a rediculous price.

Always a pleasure Billy.
