Tige at Wake N' Flake 3/7/2010

Wake N Flake was a huge success again this year thanks to all the participants and sponsors. This year we had 60 riders, coined the "Crazies", to get in the water and then drive to Appalachian Ski Mountain to hit the slopes. The Belews Creek riders had manageable water temps in the lower 60's, while the smaller group riding at Lake Norman dealt with lower 40's!

This is one of the primary fund raisers for Wake The World ministry that host kids from area NC Children's Homes in the summer. The Wake N' Flake event would be impossible without the generosity of the boat dealers in our area representing - Tige, Axis, Correct Craft, Malibu, and Mastercraft.

A great big THANKS goes out to Tige dealer Chatlee Boat and Marine of Sanford, NC. They drove several hours to bring a beautiful 2010 Z1 to help pull this year. Thanks to Tigeowners too - GoBoardGo, Chptrill, and Highrock. We were blessed with great weather and a great time....all for a wonderful cause!

I also forgot to tell you about "Heineken" the wakeboarding dog - he loves to ride on the board with his owner. Hopefully there will be some footage of him on the new coverage.

Mike- Tim was there filming for 3 hours and the piece will most likely be 3 - 4 minutes tops, so I am sure there will be a lot of unused footage. (I wonder if I can get my hands on all the footage?)

Tim called me Friday night and confirmed that is scheduled to air Monday night at 5:45. I will post a link.

I think they did a really good job.....the anchors live last night really had some good things to say. I wish it could have run a month ago when it was colder out, but still some great publicity. :)

Fox news did a great job. I was very pleased. When Kevin was saying that I have a lot of friends, I was thinking how blessed I am to have the kinds of friends I have, that will pull together and make things happen! You guys are awesome! I wish that they could have expanded on Wake the World more. Maybe we can get them to come out this summer.
