do you really need them? Most seem to get the boards with the foam top...

Then there are boards with a sandpaper top. IMO, use shows that you do longer need. :D

I use an old pair of vans but I'm not very good or anything so I don't know what the pro's are using. Nike 6.0's?

The foam top decks get soggy & you can't really feel the board under your feet.

By the way...Its Grip tape (just like on the top of your skateboard):D

Definitely rock an old pair of shoes...It really doesn't matter what you wear. I started off rocking velcro shoes from wal-mart because they were cheap, light weight & dried quickly.

I have friends that rock Vans, Chuck Taylor Converse, DVS, etc...I rock a pair of Nike 6.0's...But I am not pro;)

I looked it up and from what I can find it is a 2008. He said it had never been ridden.

Nice...I was telling Guapo some of the flaws of wooden decks.

Dont leave it in the sun or it will warp & crack.

Enjoy that skate!!!

So, don't put it in the board rack?

If it fits put it in the board rack...Most skates are too wide to fit into the board racks. Just dont leave it sitting out all day.

Combination of the fin holes allowing water into the skate, the sun, & water really damages wood skates quickly. Remember how badly warped your skateboard after it fell into the pool? Same thing only these are constantly in the water.

Jeffe, which 6.0's do you wear? My DC's look like they will be heavy wet.

I have a liquid force or Hyperlite skate that is wood and it warped a tiny bit.

AJ,

I think they are the Air Morgan 6.0 but I am not sure...They are Neon Pink/Neon Green/Black. You can see me coming a mile away.

Timmy,

If you hold the board at the tail and look down the bottom you can tell if its warped or not. If you go into any shop you can see that some brand new boards still in the plastic will be warped.

Oh, it's definitely warped.

AJ, my vans are pretty heavy when wet but it doesn't really matter. I wear a size 14 so they are heavy no matter what though.:D
