I need some suggestions on carpet care. Mine is very crushed in traffic areas after only one season. Was thinking of having it steam cleaned the next time the house is done. Maybe a carpet rake?

both of those ideas work good. i personally use a nylon brush, carpet cleaner and alot of elbow grease. it cleans and fluffs:D becarefull around the edges if you use a rack. the carpet can be pulled from its glue. (personal experience)

A house vacuum cleaner works well. Also I have heard of people using those fine, steel dog combs for fluffing the carpet up.

I've used a Rug Doctor machine (rented from a grocery store) to steam the carpets. Worked pretty well but not something you could easily do regularly. For normal cleaning I use my shop-vac with the little brush attachment.

I bought a Bissel Little Green Machine at WalMart for about $70.

It's great for the boat, great to have around the house for spots.

Here's a link...this say's they're out, but I'm sure you can find it
or something similar out there.

Good Luck,

Jeff

I usually take mine to an auto detail place about once a year where they wax the hull and steam clean the carpets. Costs about $200 but it is soooo worth it not to have to spend all day in the Texas sun doing it myself. I'd stay away from having them do the upholstry because you need milder products than what you would normally use on a car.
