I just bought a 24v, love the boat. i now have 12 hrs on it, and the steering seems to be a little difficult to turn. when we did a demo ride, that one turned with my pinky with such ease. this one i have to have both hands to turn. is there any adjustmets that i can make?

i bet your stearing cable is froze. It seems tige has had some problem on it, mine went out after 20 hours. They fixed it no prob though.

did this just happen over the winter? did you get alot of water sitting in the bilge during storage? or has been tight from day 1?

boat only has 15 hrs on it now. no winter. i am kind of getting used to it. i read about tige owners going like 25-30 mph and let go of the wheel and it turns on them, mine does not do that. i like that it doesnt. i think i will just muscle through the turns.

The steering on my 22V is great. The wheel is easy to turn and no matter where I put the wheel it stays. Even in hard turns there is no pressure on the wheel and the wheel will remain in the position with no hands on the wheel. The speed of the boat makes no difference in the steering effort, stop, or full out, the effort is the same.

delongheavyhaul;

Take back to Matt,

Something is definately not right. You will regret not having it fixed early. I let mine go too long on my 20V and developed steering elbow! My new 24V steers with minimal effort and is a pleasure to drive.
