Need engine serial number help!

I have a 21v with a 330hp black scorpion engine and I cant find any serial numbers on the plate where there is a place for it. Is there anywhere else I can find it on the engine or does anybody have a way to look it up with my hull number?
May come in handy if I need some mercruiser parts in the future!

What is your null number and I will look it up.

there should be a small stainless steel plate riveted to the block just above the starter.
