THEY FINALLY LISTENED IN ON THE BALLAST SYSTEM :D

did it say how much each additional tank was going to be?? so the surf system would be 900+ what weight on each side?

Nothing looks to have been said.

That TigeTouch System is sweet!! :bo: Well, sounds sweet

Not everyone is going to say that we are copying Malibu with their screens. Not to say that we one-up'ed them ;)

i happen to have *cough cough* seen one of the new screens and noone can say that we copied.. they are completely different, meaning that they dont look anything alike, but the functionality is similer

I can't wait to see how the factory 2k systems surfs. A factory surf ready boat would be awesome.

But the true question here is if they fixed the underside of the swim platform to not have a lip on it. Ragboy has proven beyond a doubt that the lip on the swim platform is causing the wake to have issues. :02:

I thought a Tigé did not need ballast.....;)

When empty, these bags are retractable to allow full use of the storage area's

RETRACTABLE??????? Hmmmm Sounds like a transformer.

Can't wait to see it. The snap out carpet (MC) and video screen (Bu) are features that I really wanted but had to overlook when choosing the Tige over the Bu or the MC. Seems Tige is really stepping up and filling in the gaps on offered features to way surpass MC and Bu...:02::02:

Kinda makes me wish I would have waited a few months and picked up a 2010 instead of the 09. :(

Good stuff Tige'! In floor ballast, at least in theory, sounds like a beautiful thing. I wonder if the stock system will have enough ballast for most peeps to surf without adding additional bags? Notice I said most peeps. Next question is whether it is easy to add additional bags for the rest of you ballast addicts.

I also wonder what the lifespan of these touchscreens will be. I know my remotes on my clarion seem to have a mind of their own at times and they are only 5 years old. Boats get wet and electronics and moisture don't ususally get along. Still, like the progression of boats, cool stuff will come from it.

Can't wait to see this stuff!

I too think that a 5 year old boat with a touchscreen might be a nightmare. Give me some good analog guages and I am happy any day of the week. I am not confident that this is the way to go in watersports.

MC also decided to put in a similar screen on the dash. The MC site guys were hassling MC about copying 'bu. Something about 'leading the pack' or something like that.

And anyone know of the price increase for this year?

The new dash features a clean, simplified layout and ultra-low profile to maximize forward visibility.

Thus the reason I installed a taller seat pedestal:D:D:D

Ok so I've been calling it Tigevu for the last couple of months. But leave it to the marketing wizards at Tige to come up w/ a better name. Tige Touch.... kind of sounds like a massage therapist. I wonder if it gives happy endings? LOL

Only tige owners could take a perfectly informative thread and steer this thing the way it's headed after these last two posts! LOL

I felt the same about my 08 when the 09's came out. I think the way Tige keeps innovating we will always feel this way.

With Snap out carpet, new Ballast system and new interior changes All my current gripes have been addressed. Personally the touch screen stuff does nothing for me, I would prefer to keep it simple.

Is it me or do you think tige.com is going to put up their 2010 line within the next day or two?

Trying to use the left hand navigation to select certain areas of the website seem to be locked ;)

Some comments that I am sure will soon be answered.

1. Is there an option of a smooth bottom deck, friendly for surfing, and does it work?

2. Where are the embedded tanks? If the tanks are in the far rear corners, or close, then this boat should put out a solid wakesurf wake, comparable to my boat. If the hard tanks are too far forward, or to near the center, the 1000 per side may not be enough. It would SEEM that a larger custom sac would solve that, and could hopefully be plumbed easily into the current system.

So the key is where you place the weight. Excited to find out. So if they offered the step, the right weight placement, and a 1235 prop option, I would say you could just trailer it to your lake and surf like a king, man. Either way, it sounds like a huge step in the right direction.

I was planning on upgrading my tige NEXT year, not this. I just bought a building. However, this is very tempting. Especially if I can use my wake9 status to at least get a good demo/look at them. Too funny though. I could never play it cool. You know how you go to buy something, and you act like its JUST OK, so you work a better deal? I think they are going to know they have me when I am playing with the touch screen looking at the tanks and I am giggling like a school girl. "He he he he, my pants feel funny."

I think ragboy whats the touch screen to be software driven by Apple :D

Wait, I think I am on to something here. Tige should allow people to develop applications for TigeTouch. Who knows, we could be surfing TO on the water with our new TigeTouch screens. :D Like we don't have anything better to do. ;)

LOL, I love selling boards and stuff, helping people learn to surf. Don't think I would want the headache of selling boats. I do hope more tige's get sold because of wake9, thats a good thing.

I was at the factory the other day and saw the touch screen features and the dash. You will be amazed at how simple this will be.

I hope it works great but by the time I am ready to buy a new boat there will be some computer that will drive itself.

Man I was out on the '08 RZ2 all weekend, and just did a 5 hour scrubdown on all of the carpets. I can not imagine a snap system for the entire boat. I see the positives on cleaning, and I see the negative of how hot those silver snaps get. I am finally getting the surf wake dialed in.
I will go drop off for winterization at the factory in a month or so and I bet I will have an awesone '08 for sale (treated like a baby) after checking out all of the new options, I will be like a kid in a candy store and TIGE will be cashing in on the SUGAR HIGH....

Shrinkage is normal in cold water.....Just ask George Castanza
